  1. Man, the more I read these lists, the more I realize you cannot narrow to 5. How could I leave off Hitchhiker? The foremost influence on my odd (some say too dry) sense of humor? Crytomicon almost made the list. Probably should have. and King's The Stand also deserves placement. Also need to consider Siddartha, 1984 & Lord of the Flies. Novels that first got me into reading in the first place. too tough...too much good stuff.

  12. Pretty damn sweet. When the wifee and I bought our house, we each took a room to make our own. Made mine into a music room, as well. No amps and cables for me, however. Just acoustics. Still, a great sanctuary. Congrats on yours. Pretty sweet. BTW, are those 1960's Gibson LG's on the wall?
  13. A little late to the pary, but just watched this one: Pretty good. Not great (the plot was a little convoluted, IMHO), but well made. Joker obviously steals the show. Enjoyable. On scale of 1 to 10: 7.5+/-
  14. I usually prefer songs in this fashion (guitar / voice only). My list would be huge. I really dig this stuff. Jeff's PNW is my favorite Wilco(related) LP. Dylan, Neil, all the trendy MTV Unplugged stuff. Love hearing acoustic demos (I am think of the Beatles Anthology stuff from George and John).

  19. Maybe it is silly an naive of me, but reading that makes me kinda sad. Not just for his (percieved) pain, but for the losing his presence in today's music. Love him or hate him, I think RA has put out a ton of quality work in the last decade or so. Perhaps the best artist of the 00's (arguaable, I know).
