Agreed. LOVE this album. The others were a little flat for me. But OEND is one of the best records of the '00's IMHO.

EAC worked for me. Thanks for the tip. I'll give you a full report from my time at Gitmo for this infraction.

Just came out a week or two ago. Gonna give EAC a shot. What a pain in the ass! (BTW, are the feds gonna bust down my doors two seconds after copying the CD?)

I just picked up the Best of Radiohead CD. Brought it home to rip and stick onto my iPod (honestly, who lugs around CD wallets anymore?). But, alas, iTunes will not rip it. Apparently it is protected from such an act of piracy? This, of course, begs many questions: What's the deal? When did this happen? Only way to get mp3 is from downloads? Is there a "work-around" for this problem? Are record companies trying to piss me off? Is this the future of CDs? Am I forced to buy this again from iTunes? D'oh! Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Cool. I just learned Android. A great song that sounds great solo acoustic, IMHO. Here is my cover. Please forgive the bad singing. Its just me and a guitar. My Winding Wheel

Thanks! I always felt mine was a little lacking, but my ear is very poor. Nice job. Definitly a five monkey song...

Yeah, I hear it now. Just don't like it. I like the Open D version better. Gonna try that one out now. -
Poor Places (YHF demo version) for solo acoustic guitar
anthony replied to Jmendel's topic in Lyrics and Tabs
Just tried this. My guitar sounded terrible in that tuning - not like Jeff's at all; much too low and rumbly. Are you sure that is correct tuning? Would it work another way, say, tuning to open G then capo I? Thoughts? -
I have not tried it, but I know there are a few Pink Floyd tunes that utilize it (if memory serves). For your action drifting high, maybe it is time for a new setup? Check neck relieif, saddle/nut height, or worse.

the first time you heard your favourite artists music..?
anthony replied to froggie's topic in Someone Else's Song
I have to admit that most of my (current) favorite bands are from listening to XM Radio (including Wilco). A great way to expand your horizons. -

Awesome. Thanks alot for this. Can't wait to try this out! -
For 1970's (other than the brilliant Blood on the Tracks), Desire is an outstanding LP. Try to find the live Rolling Thuder CD set, as well. Great document of that time.

What's the price of gas where you are?
anthony replied to Twisted Acres's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Gas prices are so irritating. Never thought I'd be happy driving a Corrola -
My dad was cleaning out the garage and found a big box of cards I collected during the early 1980s. I have no idea what is in there. I guess I gotta look and see if I am sitting on a goldmine. Is there any easy (say, online) way of assessing value? or do I have to get a book?

Movies Watched with the Most Tissues Needed

Isn't that based upon the book "A Prayer for Owen Meaney"? I never saw the movie, but the book is one of the best novels of the 20th century, IMHO. -

I rarely cry at movies. But I saw one recently that choked me up - am I cannot really explain it. The movie: Lars and the Real Girl. No spoliers, but the ending got to me. Just too darn sweet! -
Change them all, why not? Although once when I was putting a fresh pair on I had one break. I'll be damend! So order a single from stringsandbeyond.com
