  1. I've always thought I&W's "Naked As We Came" was a heartbreakingly sad song.
  2. Is Purple Chick down? Cannot find her ...
  3. The White Album is far and away my favorite Beatles LP (can't even listen to Pre-Rubber Soul Era). I have the serial numbered vinyl in the collection. Priceless songs: Mother Nature's Son (one of only a handful of good Paul tunes) Everybody's Got Somthing to Hide Sexy Sadie Bungalow Bill While My Guitar (EC's solo is devastating) Happiness is a Warm Gun (best Beatle tune ever?) Revolution 1 I'm So Tired Piggies (although I prefer the Anthology version) Yer Blues Long, Long, Long
  4. This is correct, but I think Tangled up in Blue is also standard.
  5. I married Isis on the fifth day of May, But I could not hold on to her very long. So I cut off my hair and I rode straight away For the wild unknown country where I could not go wrong. ------------------------------------------------------------------ I started out on burgundy But soon hit the harder stuff Everybody said they'd stand behind me When the game got rough But the joke was on me There was nobody even there to bluff I'm going back to New York City I do believe I've had enough.
  6. There is a pretty good tab of PBPWM here on VC, for those interested. A fun song to play. Nice travis picking and chord progression.
  7. Mine is this one: Suddenly I turned around and she was standin' there With silver bracelets on her wrists and flowers in her hair. She walked up to me so gracefully and took my crown of thorns. "Come in," she said, "I'll give you shelter from the storm."
  8. My suggestion is just to monitor it. Buy one of those small humidity gauges made for cigars and keep track of what is going one, humidity-wise. You wanna be 40%-50%. If it dips, you can use a small room humidifier (like the kind for sick people), or one of those planet waves soundhole dealy-bobs. If it is too humid, look at those de-humdifier thingys. Silica gel packs do the same thing. Whatever the huimidity, always good to keep in case.
  9. :lol If they did that, I would be impressed.
  10. Pretty cool. I wonder how the IG solo is shown...
  11. BTW, love Dirge. The acoustic lead is sweet.
  12. Pretty cool. I've only been to one Dylan show. Neat to look it up: 14530 Pacific Amphitheatre Costa Mesa, California 1 October 1993 1. You're Gonna Quit Me (Mance Lipscomb) 2. Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again 3. All Along The Watchtower 4. Just Like A Woman 5. Tangled Up In Blue 6. You're A Big Girl Now 7. Blackjack Davey (trad. arr. by Bob Dylan) 8. The Lonesome Death Of Hattie Carroll 9. Boots Of Spanish Leather 10. I And I 11. Maggi
  13. This is one of the wisest things ever written on the internet.
  14. I've been a long time Dylan fan. but just recently picked up Planet Waves. Good, yes Underated, yes Better than BotT? You crazy I also think New Morning is underrated (and better than PW)
  15. Pearl Jam/Eddie Vedder - "Heres to the State of"
  16. John Pearse makes strings that are intended for Open G tuning. I always keep my reso in Open G for slide. Check 'em out.
  17. Last year, my house was near the big fires down here in OC. Had my truck packed with my guitars ready to go. Kinda scary trying to decide what to keep... Good luck and stay safe, buddy.
  18. So bummed I missed it. If there is another (or a regularly scheduled) jam, I am in!
  19. I've always felt that Idiot Wind was the meanest song I ever heard.
