  1. fireworks during Spiders electric would be awesome! Or during the transition from Poor Places into Spiders haha. Can't Wilco be more like Neil Young and open up a show with Spiders acoustic, and close it with Spiders electric? Same goes for Sunken Treasure, I think that'd be awesome!
  2. Have they been playing this lately? haven't heard it in awhile
  3. hmm... can't find it now, but I swear earlier they posted a schedule on facebook that said wilco from 8:05 to 10 followed by fireworks. I don't see it now, but I thought for sure I read that
  4. Damn, would have loved to hear Laminated Car live!
  5. So with about an hour and change left, what's to come in this show? Shall we assume Heavy Metal Drummer I'm the Man Who Loves You Jesus Etc. Whole Love Art of Almost Shot in the Arm Monday Outta Site Not in that order obviously, but kind of wondering if any of those won't get played
  6. The acoustic arrangement of this is so nice, but I must say I love me some loud noisy guitars on this one.
  7. Yeah, I loved it, took a trip from chicago and spent the week prior hiking and camping, then topped it off with a wilco show! Great week and very jealous of those who live there!
  8. full version of less than you think? they could really blow this crowds mind if they wanted!
  9. I remember it feeling really good at the time! The Nels solo that ends the song was one of my favorite moments, how that rang out with the delay and it was just a great feeling there
  10. be funny if they played "we're just friends" haha
  11. I was thinking with such a large crowd it'd be pretty much a hits show. So far that's been the case
  12. I've been to Red Rocks once and it was in 09. I think that still might be the only time the whole band has played everlasting everything
  13. So what's everyone's "one" wilco song that has eluded them live? for me, it was poor places until last December! Exactly! Probably not my favorite songs, but definitely fun for that kind of venue
  14. Ok, I will post in here instead of After the Show haha. It's confusing!
  15. Dawned on Me War on War Nels is really owning this WXRT feed, which isn't a bad thing, always loving hearing the little intricacies he adds! Very "poppy" start by the band if you will. I'd expect it'd be a pretty upbeat evening being outdoors and to a larger crowd Awesome! Nothing like drinking a beer and listening to a Wilco Webcast. Wish I could have gone to the show, but couldn't spring the money
  16. Well hell, I guess I'll talk to myself! DAWNED ON ME sounds really tight, not my favorite opener, but it's up beat and gets everyone going!
  17. Anyone in here listening to the show? Or is there a different place to discuss it live?
  18. Cool to see John there, but I could only get about a minute into that video. Not a fan at all of how that guy sang lead on Hey Joe. Nice find though!
  19. Yeah, same happened to me, specifically with the song Remember the Mountain Bed. That was kind of "our" song and the first Wilco show we went together they played that and it was pretty awesome. We've since broke up a few years ago, but hearing that song still reminds me of her. Which is a shame because it's a beatiful song but every time I hear those opening chords all I can think of is "bitch" haha.
  20. goofy lyrics? Sure he has some goofy type songs, but the majority are pretty serious. What are goofy? specifically from say circuital?
  21. so bon iver won't perform at the grammy's, but he's ok with SNL???
  22. that is true, but I definitely feel pitchfork has a certain agenda. newspapers tend to be slanted to the right or the left even though different people write the articles
  23. right, but considering most of the people with cell phones out are video taping, that presents a problem since they don't allow video recording at shows.
