me too.. they're actually pretty cheap here in 2nd shops. i think physical graffiti sounds much better on vinyl, even after the remaster. the sound is incredibly fat, which helps with those tunes

yes you do.... they'll be on their way tomorrow

well, its the 20th already down here.. the end of the YHF tour with those 2 great shows in chicago. out of all the recordings i have, these 2 shows are among the top of the bunch. varied setlist with some songs not performed with the full band since then (box full, must be high, we been had for example).. crank 'em out again: 2003-09-19 Wilco Auditorium Theatre Chicago, IL 1. What's The World Got In Store 2. Kicking Television 3. A Shot In The Arm 4. I'm Always In Love 5. The Late Greats 6. A Magazine Called Sunset 7. Box Full Of Letters 8. Kingpin 9. I'm The M

cool, i'm a party pooper on the thread now something doesnt sit right with the 73 shows for me. they seemed to sound much better in 1972 and 1975. maybe the 75 shows had boost in motivation with the new songs.

Send an ill wind make it real Not unlike the broken seal And you might bury me poor Pauper's graves have their appeal Well it's such unsound advice Which you gave like Vincent Price It's the pit's sweet pendulum Those were days remember them Send an ill wind make it real Such a lovely clear eyed feel Send an ill wind make it real Such a lovely clear eyed feel And the next thing I need more I want all that's in the store Time for truth it's time to try For the times they tend to try As for you unearthly child You just did not make B grade And you did not like the trade Send an ill wind make

i'm amazed at how underrated some off those Presence tunes are. i guess they're overshadowed by achilles last stand and nobody's fault but mine. but stuff like hots on for nowhere, for your life and royal orleans is great

that one too

i love the band too. i saw page/plant down here in early 96 and it was one of my favourite concerts of all time. it was the end of the whole No quarter tour. as for the album, i'd rank them as: physical graffiti presence IV in through the out door II III I houses of the holy coda .. not that i dont like the bottom ones.. they're all great. also, dont underestimate robert's solo career. under the 80s production there are some very strong songs

Not for the season is an all-year 'round song

what do you think of the version on the summerteeth demos? different vocal

on a recent solo show, jeff referred to it as the bastard child in the wilco catalogue

sorry to hear that redshift... i'm trying to quit after 8 years.. the thing that makes it hard here is that there are 3 pubs within 3 minutes walking distance from our department, which we frequent pretty often!. its easy to go a few hours without a smoke, but the pub visit in the afternoon throws it out the window

i've always liked this song. i first heard it back in 1994 and i didnt hear idiot wind till a year later. as well as ripping the lines out isis, he also mentions tangled up in blue. also, that fence hootie's sitting on in the song could be a barbed wire one
