aww, leave UTRS alone... i have a real soft spot for it. its nothing special but it has a nice feel. the way God knows fades out before it should is quite careless, though i tried listening to Empire last weekend. i made it through 2 songs and then put the outtakes on instead

i prefer disk 2.. today they could also be referred to as 2 seperate albums... (bit like human touch and better days from springsteen).. the themes seem to give them a separate-album feel

me and a friend went across before for a few cause there are 2 new hot girls working there... so we went for P&P (pint & perv)... nothing out of ordinary. there was a private function in there where some suit/tie clad people were sitting around. they had this guy playing guitar and singing stuff (the only song i knew was First cut's the deepest). anyway, he was playing this gibson 12 string... when he took a small break, i pointed out the guitar to my friend. he overhjeard me and cames over. said he needs to take a shit and asked whether i wanna plya something to them in the meantim

i was planning to start an AM appreciation thread soon when i'm drunk but you beat me to it! i love the album. wilco were unheard of down here when it came out (mermaid avenue was our formal introduction). after buying that album, i went back to BT and AM and loved them both. AM struck me from the beginning. i dont think its al-country as people keeping saying. most of the songs are simple little rockers that deserved airplay and could have been hits... true, some tunes (its just that simple and thats not the issue have the twang), but i cant hear country vibes in box full of letters, too
