  1. i love Harrison's version of Sweet marie. Its alright ma had great guitar work, but crappy vocals. girl from the north country was done pretty good, as was Song to woody but that didnt make the official release. i was always loved the Clancy's version of when the ship comes in. bit of trivia: bob's vocals on My back pages are overdubbed in the studio before the album got released. he screwed up the lyrics and his voice was completely gone. i think there's audience bootleg footage of his original performance of it from the night
  2. traveling wilburys, vol 1 george harrison - cloud 9
  3. Nels on the lap steel at the end of Airline, when played live. and Ken going ballistic on the drums on the studio version. "says i havent gone too faaaaaaaaaarr" and the following guitar solo in VC and that part in Kamera after Jeff sings "no one knows how far, i've driven in the dark". that little drum part sounds so forceful and peaceful at the same time
  4. woops, yep Airline it is. on the other hand, i love the way Jeff spits out those lyrics in the last verse of Feed of man
  5. "your ticket you obtaaaaain" in Feed of man. "one by one to one by one forever be", and then the outro music
  6. but they'd better play When you wake feeling old on the 2nd night then!
  7. i sort of disagree.. What Light was first played in Bb when they first played it. it sounded great, but the album version sounds flat when played in G. the album version was like hearing something new and unexpected for me
  8. if they can still play Casino queen, I got you and Outtasite, Gun would be possible........ you hear me Jeff?
  9. someone called me? i've got all versions available and 4 march 2005 (soundboard) is my favourite. hardly any crowd noise and a better mixing job than the following night. Portland 2001 has crowd noise, but is awesome anyway. i have both if you need them..

  11. just wait till you see the ticket prices!. the Oz tours he did in 2002 and 2007 where the exact same show, at the same venue. $135 in 2002, then $350 in 2007. buy the In the flesh dvd and it only costs $26 be very very afraid!

  15. there was a festival show they did here in 2003, where the audience were clearly there for other bands and jeff said "ok, ok, we have a couple more songs and we'll leave". i thought they'd never return after that. glad i was wrong!
  16. that'll be the longest show since when the power went off a few years back?
