So, which Loose Fur is better? I'm buying one today so someone tell me! -
Umphrey's McGee does this and has started their own UMLive series. Its pretty sweet. Anytime before the second set, you walk up to the merch table, give them $10 and take a ticket. After the show, the Umphrey's crew is burning about 20 CD's at a time and you pick it up right at the sound booth. Pretty neat idea to me. Its sweet listening to the show the next morning especially if you had too much to drink the night before and can't remember much. About two weeks after that each live show is mixed and sold online with even better quality.

I heard Can't Stand It on XRT Saturday afternoon, right when i was telling my lady friend how XRT is the best station in Chicago.

No Chicago? Denied! Maybe that means they're playing another Grant Park show :-)

I don't think i'm going to buy the one i spoke about above. At one point there was a gold sparkle custom paint job on it and it really looks awful. I think the value is already down on it because of that. I do want to start on some sort of re-furbishing type project on a guitar that would give me a little profit. If anyone has any suggestions on a good starter, let me know. Thanks!

I'm somewhat new to Wilco, about 3 years new. I have some of their live shows from various sources but would love to collect more. In your opinion, what are their Top 5 shows in circulation? If anyone is down for a little trade action, I have plenty of Umphrey's McGee, random Radiohead, Grateful Dead, all of the Live Phish series, and tons of other random shows including The Band, Beastie Boys, Zeppelin and others. Just let me know what you're looking for and chances are I have at least one show. Back to Wilco though, I'm really excited to start collecting and listening to all your favori

Damn, i hope they play Lolla.

I'm working on that actually. I have a line on an original 1960 body and neck, both would need to be re-finished though, which will cost about a grand. Just seems that when its all said and done, I would end up paying the same for an original put together. So for about $1750 right now i can get a completely re-finished 1960 neck and body. I'll still need all the original electrics and whatnot. Re-finishing them also lowers the value. What to do...

Original or re-issue. Any sellers? I have a feeling I'll be waiting around years for an original, so a re-issue would due for the time being. I really don't want to pay for a new one though.

MM is really two different bands, pre-Good News and post-Good News. I like it, they still write great song after great song. Definitely like pre-Good News much more though, its just too polished now a days.

Looks like a great lineup, I guess it ruins any chance of the Pumpkins at Lolla though. August 4-5 Pimlico Race Course, Baltimore, MD The only thing that sucks about this is that it is the same weekend as Lolla. The Police Smashing Pumpkins Beastie Boys -more bands to be added later http://www.virginfestival.com/2007/index.html http://www.jambase.com/headsup.asp?storyID=10199

What's this album all about? I've heard nothing on it...

No I'm not f'ing joking. Its a stop start thing i guess, its not awkward and if you have any sense of music you can keep time in your head and dance normally to it without looking around all confused when the music stops for a half a beat. Just a little tip for your next Wilco show.

Here's the way I look at the whole Glenn and Nels thing. Nels is playing a lot of the "fill" areas where Glenn used to fill. As for Nels' fills though, they're amazing. He's a remarkable guitarist, but i just feel like there's not enough room for Glenn at times. This also feels like a "softer" album then any others, with less rockers. On these types of albums, a more melody type of fill fits better then a percussion fill. There's also much less "space" then there was on YHF or AGIB, leaving less room for Glenn to work with. My personal thoughts on each song are as follows: Either Way

Wait, what is Zamboni Man? My friend and I wrote a song years ago called Zamboni Man. Crazy.
