i would vote for the snow one all year round.

i suppose at the end of august it could be warmer but let me tell you, it was freaking cold in berekley when we were there this past week. FREEZING. make sure you have long pants and a sweater! PS for about 35$ you can get a nice rolling "cabin friendly" piece of luggage that will easily hold a week's worth of duds. We had to buy one to bring all our wine and olive oil and stuff from the allstar game home in. We went to ROSS, but any TJMAXX, Marshalls or off price store will do.

No, pumpkin. the airline makes sure that your bags are checked all the way to california. and you should have no problem changing planes. How exciting! You'll have lots of fun!!

We were at that game. A Giants fan was sitting in front of us and after the 8th inning when Seattle turned a double play he yelled (and he was LOUD) "Hey, Scutaro--Take Some Notes" and even the A's fans with us had to laugh.

after seeing a bit of the shellacking the CWS got last night, loverwurst and i were relieved we were watching mediocre baseball in oakland rather than chicago.

i must be missing something. I am watching tonight's episode (J from C) and i find the acting generally awful, the dialogue stilted and i have no idea what is going on. Btw, John's last name is an anagram for Nomad.

i was woefully underwhelmed by this book (Middlesex) One Hundred Years of Solitude, however, is a great book and you should pick it back up and finish it. If you haven't read Kite Runner or Life of Pi yet, those are must reads and i continue to plug for one of my favorite books of all time: Winters Tale by Mark Helprin.

I caught the last 20 minutes of Sunken Treasure on Sundance this morning and while i wouldn't put SBS in my top three, this show (or set of shows in the Pacific Northwest) serves to remind me how much i love the band. Thanks Jeff--you make nice movies. PS was that Ms Yvon who shouted out that she'd still marry him even though he farts and swears all day long?

ok, i haven't watched this week yet but watched last week twice and now wondering: Is sheila dead or alive?

San Fran July 4-11 and staying with my uncle and his family. A's game planned for that friday. other than that...? Maybe visit my step sister and her family. Hopefully hook up with Ms Yvon. maybe a car trip to wine country? we are woefully unprepared for the trip.

i thought last week's eppy was great. especially that insane montage with the B52s song while the floor was pulled out from under them while they were rescuing cats. It made NO SENSE WHATSOEVER. which i thought was terrific.

i thought these expansion teams were supposed to SUCK?! who is a Rockies fan?!

well, it is interesting, but it isn't four dudes humping an ottoman, that's for sure.

we'll be in San Fran for the All Star game and i plan on getting a t-shirt
