Eilish or Eilis (EYE-lish) would be a front runner for me. Haggis (HAG-iss) for a boy.

meow, with a pillow between my knees. However with the recent back problem i've had to sleep on my back with a giant couch cushion under both knees, but it is only by necessity. i rarely have sleep problems, though--only external wake-ups, like snoring, or pain.

Happy Birthday Kidsmoke and M Christine
jenbobblehead replied to froggie's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Muddy waters, sunny days Countless smiles, endless ways Shared our secrets and our fears Shared our joys and many tears Times we thought our life would end It meant so much to have you, friend Never judging, always knowing How I felt as we were growing Many years have come and past Friends like us were made to last Between us may lie many miles But they can -
my insurance will pay for only 80% (and for that i'm thankful!) of my physical therapy for my back, but will pay for 100% of surgery i just have to have surgery. I suppose in some says i'd rather they pay 100% of things that are cheaper FIRST, like preventative care and wellness visits and credits for exercise and not smoking and stuff, rather than make you pay out of pocket for those things...

Any Red Sox fans out there? Ticket question ...
jenbobblehead replied to farva's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
i have found i can pick up pretty good tickets for medicore games (Orioles, Royals, etc) on ebay. i have never been successful at buying tickets from the online ticketing for fenway. I think Sir Stewart has had some luck just heading down to Fenway on game day too-haven't you? -
tonite, when i dream, i'll ask my beloved Woobie to look up Penny and keep her company until she gets settled. it sounds so ridiculous to say it out loud but tomorrow when we're at the funeral for a close friend and housemate's father, during the moments of quiet reflection and prayer i'll ask my dog, gone now for 4 years to find Jack and sit by him quietly and lean against him the way he did for me when i was feeling lost. he was a good dog and friend somehow i have faith that he still is. big hearted canine love healing vibes heading your way.

i really recommend starting at the beginning rather than the most recent books. The Orchard Keeper, Suttree, Child of God, Outer Dark are some of the best writings ever. I found the Border Triligy to be disappointed, loved Blood Meridian but it took a very long time for me to pick it up... and am undecided on No Country for Old Men which i just finished. if you don't like Faulkner, you might not like early McCarthy, i don't think, but the early stuff is really unparalleled. I came to McCarthy reading his early stuff first--got Suttree as a gift from my chronically depressed uncle, and then

cyndi lauper's "girls just wanna have fun" is a lesbian anthem. I suggest it be added to the "Gay" list. thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation.

oh portland. what a great place. I remember driving out to the Dalles and getting apples the size of a baby's head. and spring skiing at Bachelor? cannot beat it with a stick. i'd move back in second, but i admit to feeling a little too far away from my family...

not anymore (we can watch the Braves on TBS and the redsox have their own channel) but, if we lived anywhere else we'd have to move back to New England. That just SUCKS. Sorry Dude.

what a great game! i'm glad for that peyton manning.

thanks for posting that. I hadn't read it. I'm not as fanatical about football as i am about baseball, but this season i found myself watching a lot of different games, and even hooting at the TV, and ben and are in different rooms, sometimes watching different games. As an irish american growing up in new england, i was genetically predestined to hate the Yankees, and i certainly don't love them, but i have a fond spot for the players from NY who play the game, not the hype because i am a fan of Baseball the Game, no matter where it is played. Sports has a way of making people feel conne

if i were king, the creepy robot guy would have to "transform" into whatever commercial it is jumping up and down for. That is, if it is a ford commercial, the robot would have to turn into a ford truck, and if it is a Quiznos commercial--a sub, and so on.
