Yes.....I do....although often I run into people NOW that I know, although I didn't use to. Thanks to VC... Actually last night I went to see the SF Jazz Collective with a couple friends and ran into five others I didn't even know were going. LouieB

Sure...but it seems like this is a pretty open question. Where do you live? How big a store or town do you live in? Is your record store connected to this event? Do you know the clerks and couldn't you ask them these questions? LouieB

Yes it is... Nothing wrong with alot of the 50s master takes, much of which was recorded for RCA. LouieB

Yea, the Jeff's dad stuff was super, whereas some of the rest of the the narrative was more than uneven, it seemed kind of useless and uninspired. Okay so don't we all mourn the end of small town life? I know I do, but then again I live in a city (as do all the band members...) The Walmartization of America is hardly new and if anything in the cases of some small towns, the downtowns have had a slight resurgence, although not enough. I was planning to ask what equipment they shot this thing on, but not being an equipment geek I figured it would be a waste of both of our times to ask that

Okay I'll go to the show....didn't pick up the CD though... LouieB

I saw the new movie at the Music Box last night. It was really great in general, although I found some of the interview stuff kind of clunky. I was particularly moved by the section with Nels icing his neck and Glenn icing his hands. All around the performances themselves were first rate and really fun. A better review by gogo is above and I don't have time to write more anyway. LouieB

HR 875 could criminalize organic and backyard farming
LouieB replied to TimRoss's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
(10) CONTAMINANT- The term `contaminant' includes a bacterium, chemical, natural toxin or manufactured toxicant, virus, parasite, prion, physical hazard, or other human pathogen that when found on or in food can cause human illness, injury, or death. Sure organic food can be contaminated, but so can none organic food. If this is the definition of contaminant it includes both organic and non-organic issues. At this point organic food has actually become a big business and it won't be shut down. Unfortunately some pathogens are do get into food sources through animal feces. LouieB -

Not too recently. Actually I barely know Lorain since I am an east sider. Nice to know someone on the west side knows about Wilco. LouieB

I have sung along with Wilco songs with both of my kids at actual Wilco shows....they both still like Wilco despite having grown up.... LouieB

I had a cat named Sunshine and I have been through Lorain a bunch of times..... LouieB

I finally pulled Steve Reich's "Sextet and Six Marimbas" out of the pile of LPs I needed to listen to. Great record, but only if you like marimbas, because it is full of them.... LouieB

I wish I was kidding.....I had to check on wikipedia myself today to make sure I had heard this correctly. I saw an interview with the guy awhile back. LouieB

Actually it might well be better than the movie; I really liked the whole comic within a comic thing based on the old pulp comic subject matter/censorship controversy which was part of the real world of comics during the 50s. It really rang true in the original book and was a nice kind of homage to the orignators of the "art" form. Too bad they didn't manage to work it into the movie. In fact when I first read Watchmen I nearly believed that part of the story was true. edit: I hadn't watched the link to the trailer before I wrote the above....the trailer itself sucks. They showed way to

Really, I must be losing my mind. I remember Julia and Jason Alexander being on, but not Jerry himself. LouieB

Considering the art on the cover of Fox Confessor was brilliant, this is far less impressive for sure. LouieB

Yea, that will be good...finally Larry David wore down Jerry..... LouieB

Yea, I should have posted a spoiler alert, but then again most people actually investing nearly 3 hours in this movie know what happens anyway. I plan to see the movie as well......maybe later than sooner, but maybe sooner...who knows...Moore himself has disowned this project entirely so if you go with his feelings..... Question for those of you who have seen the movie...do they use the device of the pirate comic as a subtext to parts of the plot in the movie? I always liked that.... LouieB

Yea, it is..bunch of old timers...nice work on Pitchforks part.... Getting the Jesus Lizard back together is a coup. I hope to be back selling vinyl in the tent so I have somewhere to go, otherwise I may just go Friday and skip the rest. LouieB

Nope..they all suck..... LouieB

You got that right. The cover itself is horrible, but the inside is nice. I am skipping the rest of the posts...that's it....maybe I will read more. LouieB
