Whoa, 12 posts and dissing the group Jeff thinks is the best group he has ever had...yikes...no offense, but they aren't THAT bad. What light is hardly my favorite either, but still... LouieB

Paul is an attention hog.....heaven forbid he should allow Ringo any credit for being a Beatle. LouieB

Happy Birthday!!! A bit late... LouieB

Well most people neither know of nor care about any of those groups anymore....totally relegated to the bustbin of music... Strangely no one seems to have mentioned Phil Spector's groups either. And for some more recent groups, how about Poi Dog Pondering and The Mekons, both of whom have violin players featured prominently. LouieB

She was on one of the morning shows today....yikes...scary crazy. LouieB

Yea, I didn't see who this was, but I kind of dug the marching band thing...but then again I didn't stay to the end either. The song wasn't doing a thing for me. LouieB

All of this was better said by "The Baffler" what seems like a generation ago, but was actually only around the turn of the millenium. To say we are in a cultural vacuum is vacuous in and of itself. LouieB

Someone should write an article on the term hip (which started out as hep...), and work their way through the 20th and 21st century uses of the word. It is a pretty old term (but in this case hilariously pejoritive...I might add....) LouieB

You can actually see "the drummer " if you are refering to Glenn Kotche the current drummer (or are you speaking of Ken Coomer the former drummer..not sure), in small venues fairly often. I was practically sitting inside his drum kit the other day at a loft show. LouieB

SBS is a perfectly fine album. It has some great stuff on it. Not every album has to hit a home run. Some recording artists put out hundreds of albums during their careers and they aren't all masterpieces. SBS is the album Jeff wanted to put out when he put it out. Let's wait and see what happens next. (On what basis is the word light a metaphor for hope?? Aren't there other meanings to light and other metaphors??) LouieB

Mick Jagger has made a pretty good living doing that. LouieB

Yea me too, but mostly because XRT plays both WAY too much. LouieB

I am kind of glad they never got BS back together for a dinosaur tour. I am sure Palmer and Martin could have used the money, but otherwise there was very little point. BS was great when they were together, a seminal group (in the true sense of the word) and then they imploded and that was that. Good for them. LouieB

or Last Time Around.... Sad really. He never had much of a career after this. LouieB

I have Wild Man Fischer on a rather beat up but playable LP. I doubt it is anywhere on CD. the question is whether or not it is still worth playing. I have not listened to it in years. LouieB

Somehow I think this has to do more with market forces (supply and demand) than prayers.... LouieB

Looks like it doesn't it. Why shouldn't Wilco reissue this under some sort of arrangement with Nonesuch and make some money on it. It will satisfy those who want this on vinyl and only partially tamp down the collectable market, since it will be under a different company and not the original issue. Those originally released will still go for big money for awhile. LouieB
