I agree. Any other opinions regarding the matter are hogwash.

Yup! Check out this thread!

I use allrecipes.com a lot. Their "search by ingredient" feature is super helpful as are the user reviews of recipes...they really give you a good idea of what will work and what won't. Chowhound.com is also really cool...a very hip kind of food site with helpful video tips.

The linked spot actually says March 8th, doesn't it? edit: oops! yes!

Charlie Brown is where it's at! My daughter is nutso about Nightmare but she's also way into Frosty and even keeps Frosty around as an imaginary friend. Sometimes, she actually is Frosty...last night, when I asked her to lean back in the tub to rinse her hair, she flailed her arms and shouted, "Nooooo! I'll melt!!!"

That is a catchy one. What's the other line? Something like, "my music is the place I want you to touch."It's not a real song(?), but I've always got "Pizza in the mornin', pizza in the evenin', pizza at supper time. When pizza's on a bagel, you can eat pizza anytime!" stuck in my head.

If it's the same song, then it has been going on for more than a decade! Only, with Bob Seger doing it. When I very was young, one of my much older brothers tried to school me on good music with a truck commercial for example. The guy just chillin' on the hood of his truck cracks me up. He doesn't really look all that comfy there.

The whole "Ron Paul doesn't want to take all of your money" argument has worn thin with me. There are some insanely persistent Paul supporters in my 'hood. I don't mind dishing over my dough (not that I've really got any to dish) for the right things.

I'm waiting for some stuff to get through the mail to me so I can turn it around and aim it in my giftee's direction.

Absolutely! I'm 25, and I can't remember as far back as Reagan, so I'm aching for some newness in the White House. I would have liked for "newness" to mean a woman, but not if that woman has to be Hillary.

Come on in! There's punch and cookies on the buffet in the back!

I guess they're all really counting on the rest of the nation to look to Iowa for their thoughts on who makes the best nominee. Maybe there should be a poll somewhere that says, "Does the way Iowa goes influence your perception of the candidates at all?" I don't know about the rest of them, but Obama's campaign people are sure enthusiastic about Iowa. They send out e-mail notices on it constantly, "Iowa is only (fill in amount here) weeks/days away! Donate $25 now!!!"

Saw them with Mountain Goats recently. Cool sounds, reminded me of Andrew Bird (think it is vocal similarities). A friend who was at the show with me thought it a travesty that they were opening for Mountain Goats and not the other way around because he thought they were 10x better.

The Annual Holiday Decorations Thread
yermom replied to jenbobblehead's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Really is the best of the holiday tunes. This thing makes me smile: Some cute kid standing next to the tree: As it looks right this minute (lights are out with the not so warming glow of Mitt Romney coming off of the tv screen across the room): I'll get around to doing outdoor things (no lights, usually just garlands and ribbons) at some point before Christmas but for now there is still a bale of hay with shriveled pumpkins and dried out mums lovingly displayed on the front porch. -
There is a Jeff signed guitar on ebay right now, the proceeds from which benefit the school.

The town Christmas parade. Was my daughter's first Christmas parade. Watching her watch the marching bands and floats was awesome. I was teary-eyed! She was super excited to see Santa, waving, "Hi! Santa! Hi Santa!"

GBP really is one of the best movies ever. It's got a lot going on for it including the soundtrack. Pressure Drop & Under Pressure on one disc!

I actually clicked that twice before I got it. -
You're not crazy. This is crazy.

I've never seen that but I've considered it many times. Is that the funniest scene or is it loaded with those?! Hilariousness!

Dr. Strangelove is loaded with them. Sellers in this scene is the first that came to mind.

Feisty, fesity Republicans. Dreamy, dreamy Anderson Cooper.
