down with the evil empire........

me being a Brewers fan, I think it is a joke that Corey Hart is in the Home Run Hitting Contest. sure, he is near top of HR totals in NL but the kid is not a home run hitter. i will have a good laugh watching him.
-
I may agree. He has been overshadowed by the no-hitters, Jimenez/Halladay press, and the fact that he pitches for the Marlins. He should get more press and credit. It is an almost automatic win when he is on the hill.

Rockies are one of the best hitting teams in the game. Rockies have pure hitters. and their leading home run guy only has 15, Carlos Gonzalez. I was happy to see Franklin get worked over. I wish I could have seen LaRussa sweating it out in the dugout. Sorry Cardinals fans...

i was bummed out to read that article. he was one of my favorites back in the day. probert vs ray probert vs gaetz probert vs domi probert vs mcsorley all classic fights.

freecorder is the name i believe

i have one and i think it is better than my reverb on my amp. ive liked it so far.

i happened to think Gonzalez is one of the better managers. But I could be wrong, but he was sent off because he and Hanley dont get along, and i guess the Marlins want to keep Hanley.

I can't stop looking at vintage guitars online
Smokestack Joe replied to MattZ's topic in Solid State Technology
i am a bad window shopper when it comes to guitars. i know i dont need them and i shouldnt spend buccu bucks on them but i still like to look. i laughed when i read your list. my vintage guitar online is a Gibson ES-335. the walnut version, but any style would suffice. but damn, they go for big bucks! i would love to but i can't. -
If i had my own recording label, i would probably make a record i always wanted to make, so yes indulgence. Sci fi metal isnt for everyone. -- EDIT: from RAA-Wolfhunter aka Ryan Adams Originally Posted by wolfhunter There will be a special pressing but I won't let what happened with the ORION stuff happen with these. This stuff takes some time though and for me they can never be made soon enough. Don't worry about

i agree. i was looking on ebay and it is ridiculous how much people are paying or bidding on Orion. hopefully these releases won't be limited edition. but who knows with DRA?
-
i believe RA's response as to why no Cd release of Orion was "they sound like crap, no Cds at Pax Am." but yes, i agree with you analogman, i think he (and mandy) are fitting the bill since it is his record label.

oh wow, dreams do come true!

i, too, am a little burned out of the NHL season, but alas, it was a good one. I'm not too excited for the Hawks cup but they deserved it. Looking forward to next season.

i would believe that the guy started his own record label, Pax Am, to release anything he wanted. I'm not positive but i thought when he left Lost Highway he got the rights to a lot of his unreleased stuff OR his unreleased stuff wasnt under the rights of Lost Highway. I think he will release the vinyl "Blackhole" box set one day.

New Album In Stores August 17th Ray LaMontagne is set to his new album, Ray LaMontagne & The Pariah Dogs - God Willin' & The Creek Don't Rise on August 17, 2010! Entirely self produced (for the first time) God Willin’ & the Creek Don’t Rise was recorded in two weeks at LaMontagne’s home in the woods of western Massachusetts. The newly coined 'Pariah Dogs', consists of Jay Bellarose (drums), Jennifer Condos (bass), Patrick Warren (keyboard), Eric Heywood (guitar) and Greg Leisz (pedal steel guitar). Individually, these musicians have contributed to the live work of such her

i have had a few listens now to Orion and I dig it. the lyrics are a little corny at times but it is labeled as a Sci-Fi Metal record so some of the corny lyrics makes sense. I like the drums and guitar sound. I believe he put heart into it. It probably a lot of fun to record. I would do something similar if i was a talented musician, make a metal record. I'm not a metalhead by any means but I enjoy the record.

no i didnt think it was close at all. i heard some comments that it was a bang-bang play hard to see with naked eye in Real Time, not after a replay, but even still, when i saw it live, he was clearly out.
-
i understand the 'benefit of the doubt' comment in order to achieve history but i disagree and it is ridiculous. Missed calls has been a part of baseball since the beginning, it is a part of the game. Galarraga/Austin Jackson/Manager Leyland all commented after the game saying the same thing, he made a mistake, human error, part of the game, etc... the whole play looked shaky from the start. Galarraga looked hesitant getting to first while Cabrera was far from first base, it wasnt his greatest throw to first, and the Cleveland kid had every motivation to run his fastest. Joyce was in a good

it wasnt even close. did you hear Jim Joyce's comments after the game? he was real upset with himself and totally admitted that it was the wrong call. pure shame....1880 was the last year where there were 2 perfect games in one season, 20 Perfect Games all time

he is a multi-millionaire, he doesnt care about a 'fresh start.'
