nice post Sparky Lyle. We are all in this together regardless of one's political side. Also, second Amen to my Madison guy Beltmann. My boss recently "Walkered" me, severe pay cut with no cutback in work. I think he has been on two vacations since then.

i understand you Laminated Nap and i agree. i dont think the Dems fled due to being scared or not having a plan/idea. i won't resort to name-calling the teachers or Democrats, not my style. Personally, i would rather see the senate Democrats stay in Madison and work it out but i get the filabuster thing. hope people can be happy again but "in these ecomonic times..." some people can't find a way.

I agree, he isn't eradicating the unions but as the writer of this Chicago Tribune wrote "No, he is not seeking to eliminate unions, though you might get that impression from the heated rhetoric of the employees and even from President Barack Obama, who called this an "assault on unions." yes, not showing up for the work (teachers & Senate Democrats) doesn't accomplish anything, as Gov. Walker said, "we can't talk about anything if you don't come to work.." The bill will get passed at some point with Democratic approval so "virtually eliminating CBAs" probably won't happen.....

Thanks for being honest. My job is based on commission and others at my work are paid salary. The commission-based employees work harder then the salary workers. Times have changed but some people aren't ready for big changes. I'm heading to Madison today, not for political reasons, wondering if i will see a smoky, fiery haze over the city.....

yes i agree but i copied that from Lost Highway's Email. not my writing.

can the band perform at my house for me?
-
yes, Jimmy Fallon impersonating Neil Young singing Whip My Hair, to me, is genius. He is so right on. and with the addition of Springsteen being playful as well makes it even better. apologies if posted B4

lock me in, i am one of those fans where i can listen to any wilco album straight through and not skip a song, sure there are songs that don't strike me hard or move me or 'get my groove on' but at this point in my musical life, they are like my favorite childhood sports team growing up, im in it with them until the end, undying support and love. i first got into wilco when AM came out and im only 32 so there are plenty of years left to celebrate.

check out Jack White in the movie IT MIGHT GET LOUD. it is about him, The Edge, and Jimmy Page talking about the guitar and they end up jamming together. He holds his own in that amazing group of musicians. I understand how you feel jakobnicholas....i just wish i had that same live experience as you did. missed out. but i have the music and that is timeless.

this is the band i have always wanted to see/hear/witness and i missed out or never took advantage of the chance to see them. boo me, oh well. bands break up and then get back together years down the road for a reunion tour, though not sure about jack white. he has many irons in the fire as they say and it would be some time. will have to spin some of their LPs loud in mourning..........

thanks for the link. I will read it. I saw the show back in the day but everytime i see an episode i remember how great it was. I miss that show.

Honestly, The Pabst Theater is a wonderful place in Milwaukee. I was in heaven when Wilco had back-to-back shows there when WTA came out. Tweedy played solo there too and it was perfect sound for that type of performance. Capital Theater in Madison is fantastic too.

I read your first post and I didnt take it as self-promoting. And even if it was, it didnt bother me. Honestly, I was jealous. I too am a photographer and would love to do this sort of thing. It would be life experience even if it is for a few days. I will always be jealous of Zoran Orlic, wilco photographer. ha! have a great time, can't wait to see the results.

im not a festival goer but if i was to go to one, this would be the one, the view, the area, music, everything. it would be a dream. just bad timing.....
-
yes i understand that....it was just a joke based on the photo.

stay away from Behr paint from Home Depot. Its ok but as I first time homeowner i basically painted the whole interior with it and i hope it holds up. **i'm sure you are aware but painting is a blast when you have your stereo cranked to your favorite songs!**

great news having their own label! and great news Jeff is coming back to Madison! -
i agree with cryptique. If it wasnt for cutler, it would have been tough for the Bears to make it to the NFC game.
