  1. i am looking forward to the record but unfair to the band this will be a letdown to me compared to HTH of TTGG. 2011 time is different from early 90s. the band's magic and spirit is a little different too. yes i know this happens. maybe letdown is too harsh, my expectations aren't too high. im not expecting to be blown away by this record. I want to hear good songwriting, melodies, harmonies. Im sure i will hear that.
  2. this is the route i will be taking.....
  3. 52 page booklet? it doesnt mention what is inside of it. im guessing photos, etc....
  4. isn't that the mark of a true musician? making some listen who might not want to?
  5. Ryan video recorded some covers of Vampire Weekend and posted on his facebook. here
  6. Great point! next time i will try this theory and skip the presale and go for general sale, it seems to be true my presale tickets haven't been in most ideal locations
  7. Got two tickets for the Madison show this morning from the Overture Theatre presale, easy as pie after being shutout from the FrontGate presale.
  8. Madison presale sold out so fast, dammit, didnt get any. have to wait for general sale, not sure when that is.
  9. Next Ryan is going to cover Rooster by Alice in Chains.
  10. both songs are awesome. wilco never disappoints.
  11. yes, oh my goodness, mark olson looked so bored and unhappy. hopefully all is well for him. great song though
  12. i can't see the Canucks winning the Cup. I'm sorry. Luongo is inconsistent. Yes, he was the winning goalie in the Olympics for the Gold so he proved he can win the Big Game but he failed to win the other Big Game at home. The Sedins and Kesler and Co. are good players but didn't step up in the Big Game, they could if they get back to the Cup but that is a big IF. The Canucks have the tools but missing a few pieces but the NHL has a lot of parity and a lot of good teams that play hard. I think the Canucks missed their great opportunity to win the Cup. I could be wrong and will admit being wr
  13. i just saw Jackass 3 and 3.5. Ive watched the show from the beginning. a true loss and so sad. the kid was great. im sad today.
  14. I was a Big Bs fan in the early 90s when i was starting to play hockey as a kid, Andy Moog-Cam Neely-Craig Janney-Ray Bourque, that was my team! so I am happy the Bruins won this year. They outscored Van 2 to 1 and played strong defense and physical. I wouldn't say the Canucks choked, but they have issues they need to resolve if they want to make it back to the Cup. Looking forward to next year, new team in Winnipeg, probably a new Cup winner. EDIT: On my comment on Canucks not choking: Despite injuries to Hamhuis, Raymond, certain Canucks didn't show up. Luongo on the road was terrible
  15. Game 7s bring on the best of emotions!!! love the banter. Go Hockey!
  16. Ryan isn't allowing taping at shows anymore. From the RAA message board: Over the years we have all come to love and treasure recordings of Ryan's live shows. RAA was formed with the intent of providing recordings by and for its members. Prior to the current Europe solo tour, Ryan Adams decided to no longer allow taping by the public. It is not clear whether this is a temporary or permanent decision by Ryan. While this of course comes as a disappointment to us all, it is our hope we will still have the opportunity to hear the shows one way or another. In the meantime, we hope members will co
  17. i have my own hockey game at 830pm so I'll miss most of Game 7, too bad i dont have DVR. but honestly, i think Vancouver will win eventhough Boston has been the better team in the series, Boston hasn't made the most of their opportunities on Power Play on the road. BUT i really want the Bruins to win. The have been as inconsistent as the Canucks but Thomas has been better and I think the Bruins are more deserving. They are outscoring and playing more solid defense than the Canucks. I have nothing against the Canucks, I just like the underdogs.
  18. she is coming to the Capital Theatre in Madison in July. the show will really sound great in that place.
  19. i expect bruins to win at home in game 6. and back to vancouver for the ultimate game 7. can't wait.
  20. Burch had a record club this past year, each month you would get emailed two new songs, when it was done you could have purchased the whole record. great rockabilly, country rock stuff.
  21. i'll eat my words about Canucks winning, they look tired and sluggish tonight.
  22. Paul Burch & the WPA Ballclub are also coming out with a Buddy Holly record this summer titled "Well All Right: Songs of Buddy Holly." Burch and the Ballclub can really cover Holly well. Paul burch
