hey there, i've got a little issue i need some help with. what software would you recommend for splitting large audio files into tracks or at least less than 80 min chunks. cool edit pro is now adobe audition and $349. this is not what i have in mind. i'm looking for $50 or less. free would be really cool too. thanks, b

I've been watching the '99 NYC Irving dvd that's posted up on owlandbear.com, and that performance of Casino Queen is just insane. It's also the best example of the guys harmonizing on vocals really well in that particular show. i think it originally said the 11th and then at sometime changed to the 18th. maybe the release date was pushed back so he could have an extra 'day' to create country rock

gotta love the drone. i'm sure that all of you who love the drone have checked out tony conrads 'minimalism' 4 disc set. great stuff. i used one of the 60 minute versions of C as part of a thing that i mixed together with some of the conet project stuff, a white noise cd and some acoustic guitar. cheers, b

as long as the music remains good and the live shows and webcasts and other 'goodies' are still there, i don't mind hearing wilco music in a commercial (i still haven't heard/seen the one in question) maybe now when i tell someone i'm going to see wilco they won't give me that blank look they'll say "oh yeah, the band that did that VW commercial" cheers, b

last weekend while floating in the pool listening to the webcast i realized that this is going to be the 'summer of "sky blue sky"' i love the way 'on and on and on' bleeds right back into 'either way'. i can see alot of time spent floating around with this one on repeat this summer. cheers, b

just now listening to the sunday re-airing on kuhf in houston. i can't explain what it means to hear Wilco on APHC. i guess it's kinda like the cool whip on top of the pumpkin pie for me. obviously we're all fans of the band and definitely some diferent opinions on the radio program but if you like both it's a very special thing indeed. cheers, b
