  1. I've seen them thrice: 1) Once on their first tour in Charleston opening for Iron and Wine before anything was settled. They were decent at this point but I could tell they would become something more. 2) Once in Charleston just after Cease to Begin came out 3) Once in Los Angeles when they opened for Dinosaur Jr. I was surprised how many people left after they played before Dinosaur came on.
  2. I heard he was going to try to act like he was fine but then embarrass himself by being too strung out to play that first slide.
  3. I heard Jesus Christ was coming back just to play the intro to I'm the Man Who Loves You
  4. I try to like Popmatters but it seems like most of their articles are pretentious and they try to make everything out to be a ridiculous metaphor that couldn't have possibly been intended by the artist. EDIT: Although I do like the Crying of Lot 49 comparison, but only because I enjoy that book so much.
  5. Sayid rocked the shit in this one.
  6. Both the Clash and the Beatles had Paul on Bass and John on Guitar

    Grammys

Glenn looks pretty fly in those pictures.
  8. Looks to me like Eko and it could be another reason that they deliberately panned over to it. I love this show.
  9. Here see for yourself: You could say it's a production error but the camera deliberately pans over to the photo. Sounds pretty convincing but at this point still who knows? Awesome that the writer's strike ended, I'm sure a lot of people are happy about that.
  10. Maybe feedback in that they bounced ideas or parts of the song on him and he gave them some feedback. That would be a cool credit to have on an album.
  11. Finals for spring quarter end that week and then I have to go back home to the other coast (South Carolina) to set up base real quick and then get up to Tennessee somehow. Scheduling wise it probably won't work for me but fun wise it would definitely be a good time. I went in 2006 and it was great!
  12. To help the mac users with owl and bear...at least for me when I download the FLAC files they are saved as .flac.txt files but by removing the .txt and then clicking that you want it in .flac format and not .txt format you have your flac files. It's kind of a pain to manually do it to each file but it really isn't that big of a deal. Hopefully that's the problem you had.
  13. The Ryan Adams show I just went to had two sets and no encore. After the first set he said something along the lines of this is your chance to go pee and that the Cardinals would be back out in a little bit. He said it's sort of like intermission, but it worked well it seemed. Unfortunately no encore after the second set but I think it's because he was sick.
  14. I like it when bands play a totally unexpected cover in the encore.
  15. Keep on it keepin it real dude. Appreciate all you do round here. Happy birthday!
  16. WOOOO! That was great. I have no life...
  17. That looks great. I think I will take you up on that vibrola if I ever get around to doing this. PS: After looking at this thread and others, I really want to overhaul my SG. It's an Epi one of those cheapy G-400 something or other. I'm thinking that Vibrola with a new bridge, and new pickups. Plus the electronics are pretty crappy so I guess I should fix that. I have little to no experience working on guitars IE: the most hardcore thing I've done is change the bridge on my Jaguar. Is it difficult to change out the electronics?
  18. A quick google search turned up nothing so I'm guessing it has not much to do with the Beatles. Although I have been fooled before.
  19. I'm thinking about adding one to my SG. I was worried that when I got my Jaguar I wouldn't play my SG but I still do so it's all good. And then I found 5 dollars.
  20. I too thought it reminded me of Pop Up Video.
  21. Tha Carter III sessions are pretty good. I've been watching some of his freestyles on youtube. But Da Drought 3 is probably my favorite that I've heard so far.
  22. I just got Pacific Ocean Blue today and it is pretty incredible. River Song and Rainbows are my two favorites after just the first listen through, but I can already tell that it's gonna be one of those albums that I will always listen to, ya know?
