I don't think you can go wrong with either one, or Bryter Layter for that matter. I picked up the Fruit Tree box set back in the 90s; that was the perfect introduction to Drake's music .
-
And don't forget the touches of Saxophone too .

Nice choice Froggie NP: The DVD portion of this was quite underwhelming. I hope the EP makes up for it somewhat...
-
I believe that's an Em9, or Am9 when played in the 5th position. I haven't tried playing this song before so I will have to give these chords a spin .
-
Definitely! It's nice to hear those great songs stripped down to just guitar or piano. NP: The Hold Steady - Stay Positive (I guess these damn MP3s will have to tide me over for now.)

Yet another Hartley film. I suppose I should track down the sequel Fay Grim now.

I can't believe this record is already 5 years old. Still one of my favorites of the 00s.

On a bit of a Hal Hartley kick lately. I recently watched Simple Men and The Unbelievable Truth, and now I'm onto this one: Cool! I'll have to look for that .

I hadn't looked through the book (Listen to This!) in ages, but was glancing through it the other day and thought the chapter on Jeff might be of interest for some. http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d76/GtrP...stentoThis6.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d76/GtrP...stentoThis7.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d76/GtrP...stentoThis8.jpg

I love the sound of the harp. Right now I have 7 of them including one chromatic one. I mainly use them for recording purposes and accompaniment while playing the acoustic guitar. I find myself trying to work harp parts into songs quite often. It really is an expressive instrument that doesn't get used nearly enough anymore.

You started off with my favorite, but there's a few other Meyer films that are worth checking out when you need some campy fun: Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (would make an interesting double bill with the equally campy "Valley of the Dolls") Motor Psycho Lorna Mudhoney On a side note, John Waters called Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! ''the best movie ever made.''

I got sick of keeping my Wilco Book CD in an unadorned jewel case so I made some cover art yesterday. Here's the links for anyone that might need some artwork too:

That's probably the Best Russ Meyer's film I've seen. Great B&W cinematography, and yeah, those boobs that defy categorization
-
Warren Zevon - Excitable Boy I never seem to tire of this one.
-
I wouldn't have been able to make it anyway as I was too busy hanging out with Wolfgang Puck and that dude from Hells Kitchen.
-
That was my first thought. I would have found little to eat there.

I grabbed the reissue last week. This is now the 3rd version of this record I've owned. I guess I must really like it .

Well that should work out great . Last time I was there we were staying on Lombard St. so it was a real short walk to Greens. The restaurant is close to the Palace of Fine Arts and Exploratorium which is a cool place to spend a few hours:
