Could you also ask him, please, if he has a recording of Tweedy solo Nov 10, 2005, in Grand Rapids at Calvin College Chapel? Nothing has ever surfaced and it needs to find its way to the fans somehow. http://wilcobase.com/event.php?event_key=903 I never give up hope. Thank you.

They recycled the same poster for the Detroit show (of course, updating the date and location etc). So it is possible the same poster might show up for the next two shows (Pittsburgh and Charlottesville). I'm in full agreement - very cool poster. -
Detroit was the second appearance of the Nudie suit. He debuted it the night before in Columbus (see Columbus thread). Shoes? Very plain black (maybe dark brown) shoes that barely show because of the longish pants. (picture from last night in Columbus) It was wild! Everyone was shakin' it side to side and laughing hysterically. Fun night in Detroit! The Fox was a great venue for this really great band. I'm inclined to say this Detroit show just barely surpassed the Columbus show by the sheer fact that Andrew Bird played on FOUR songs! In fact, Jeff called him the 7th

Yeah, no shit. Buncha morons. Would somebody please remind me again -- what exactly is it they do for their cut of the artists' profits?

Head over here for the after-the-show discussion thread! I hope I did that correctly. I'm still not quite recovered from seeing Andrew Bird play and whistle on Spiders!

I have to admit I have not yet listened to Joe Pisapia's own work, but from seeing Guster last summer several times, but I'm with Solace and Mystic Spiral and a lot of others here -- I can't imagine Guster without him as well. Thanks, PopTodd, for this extra nudge not to miss it. And for you uber fans: Ryan Miller of Guster has his own "Joe, Marc's Brother" T-shirt for sale in a charity auction here. Edit: ckc: Do you know who is playing with Joe (besides Ryan Miller who I recognize) in the first video from Ships & Dips you posted above for the song "That's Enough" ... ? It

Really really fun show ... as noted above, Nels - having barely walked onto the stage over on Pat's side -- tripped on some cords (I think Pat's guitar almost fell), but he was spinning out of control while trying to not fall, and eventually failed, diving head-first across the stage as he slid into his own home space. I don't think a stunt person could have done a better physical "save" though -- Nels went on to perform at his usual insanely gifted and frenetic pace all night long! Also this: After the first encore, Pat came out onto the stage and did a great Chevy Chase pratfall, got h -

me too! Plus Wilco Tuesday in Columbus, a Bright Eyes show, Springsteen x2, and Calexico, and (?) a Drive-By Truckers Dirt Underneath show. -
Wilcoworld says it's now sold out -- 1 day before showtime -- good work, Columbus! See you all there! *except not tugmoose1 (BTW, there are some people looking for tickets if you haven't found takers for yours.)

Thanks for those calls, Evonne! I was at a party sitting out on a deck under the stars and I put the call on speakerphone and everybody listened! Now I'm psyched for Tuesday (today!) and Wednesday with those same 7 guys!

Love it! The audience reaction was priceless. Bobfrombob, lucky you for being there!

This article is pretty critical of the exhibit's oversight of Chicagoans in general. I have no comment as I didn't see the exhibit. http://www.chicagoreader.com/features/stor...usiness/071011/

Anyone who starts a topic can close their own thread. Isadorah, you can close this topic whenever you want to. Just snoop around the edges of your original post (or perhaps at the bottom of the first page of your topic) for a drop-down box.

I love that policy! I believe I spent a few years with that policy in effect for Wilco. But I love DBT as well. I'm scheduled to see "The Dirt Underneath" show soon. And I'm always looking forward to something new from DBT, even without Jason.

It wasn't too hard to like this guy. Hey PopTodd! You got me beat by almost a decade! My first show was at Otto's in DeKalb, IL on 4-21-2003
