  1. Had to correct it for you. Won't spoil it for A-man, liked it, but not my favorite of the series.
  2. any decent t0rrent site will have it. If you are in to that sort of thing.
  3. Good article. It seems like a mess. Right now, it looks as though he took something, be it a masking agent or whatever. It is sad for sure. Even if he comes out the other side of this being found not guilty there will forever be questions, especially if next year his numbers drop. Which in all likelihood they will without batting in front of Prince Fielder. My feeling is that if through whatever procedures there are he is found guilty and given a 50 game suspension he should be stripped of his NL MVP award. It looks like the Brewers are tying to add pop to their line up by adding AmR
  4. I am not sure if Keith Olbermann is a reliable source on this but he just tweeted this: I can't seem to find anything else on this. Even if the test is found to be false, or inaccurate, it still is bad. Braun will forever have the specter of PEDs around his career. That is just too bad.
  5. Are you F'ing kidding me? Ryan Braun tested postive for PEDs While a Cubs fan, I have always like Ryan, he played hard and seemed like a stand up guy. If this stands up, it is a black eye on the 'Crew's great run this past season.
  6. Birthday present 2 days early for me!
  7. Excited for sure, though his recent works have kinda put me off, it just seems like he is trying too hard.
  8. I really liked the concept of A Christmas Carol. Where you spend one day with someone every year and you get older yet they don't age. But agreed it got dull. The Next Doctor was good until the Giant Steam punk Cyberman came out. I really can't wait until this Christmas episode, "The Doctor, the Widow, and the Wardrobe" Here is the prequel trailer for those who have not seen it:
  9. I am loving this Pujlos saga right now. It is funny to think that the Cubs are actaully in the debate. I think the only reason they are in it is to run up the price for the Cards. Overall I think signing Pujlos is a risky move for any team. Not only will the contract be huge dollars 225 mill plus. But the years are outragous (10). He is offically listed as 31 years old, but I would bet he is closer to his mid 30's. We saw last year he started to break down and I think his best production is behind him. Sure he is a great offensive player and will be in the short term, but if you te
  10. I am traveling to KC for business, but I will be there 3/26, 3 days late. Boo!
  11. I quite like the Shakespeare Code. Not reat by any means, but fun, with crazy references to Pop Culture (Harry Potter and stuff). For me the episode kinda sums up the RTD era.
  12. It can be good, as in the case of Vincent and the Doctor and The Girl in the Fireplace (Madame de Pompadour), or it can be bad as in the case of Unicorn and the Wasp (Agitha Christie) and Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon (Richard Nixon).
  13. For sure. I wonder who will give his induction speech? Jeff Santo? Pat? I could listen to Ronnie stories form Pat all day.
  14. I absolutly love Vincent and the Doctor. Very non Doctorish story, but a great story. The story actually makes me cry.
  15. Rory, he gets lame, before he gets awesome. And he gets really awesome.
  16. Let's move to more pressing business. Anyone check out the Marlins (now Miami Marlins) new uniforms? http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20111111&content_id=25960504&vkey=news_mlb&c_id=mlb Ick with a stick.
  17. Last I checked Verlander is a pitcher. Pitching is a defensive position. It stops scoring runs. That is it's point. Any person who is not at bat is a member of the defense. Braun won on his MVP on his offensive numbers.
  18. Crow I agree with you, but there are some cases in which a pitcher was so dominate that he was the Most Valuable Player in the league. That is the case this year. Couldn't you argue that the Silver Sluggers / golden Glove awards represent the best for their positions? I think the MVP (and baseball) for that matter puts too much emphasis on offense. It is nice to see defense being rewarded.
  19. Braun the NL MVP. Good job. Though I could put decent numbers batting in front of Fielder. Wonders what he will do next year.
  20. chance of a nomination 100% Chance of a win 20% Chance of me caring beyond this post 1%
  21. ick, enjoy Boston. Actually thought he would end up on the Southside. Oh well.
  22. Stoney was a name I heard more then once on some Cub Forums. It never was gonna happen, but an interesting name nonetheless. Sveum is a guy that most Cub fans know little about. He is not a flashy big name. Hell I don't even know if he can win, or can handle the pressures of Chicago. I just have a feeling of meh.
  23. I don't know how serious of a candidate he was, but I had heard his name bannied around. He has won a World Series, and he knows the Cubs, extremely well. I really like him, he is smart guy, he really knows his baseball. He has also made it known that he wants to manage again.
