You're not street teaming again , are you? In all seriousness I have never heard of this guy, but I will check it out.

the search function is a wonderful thing.

So how many times does this have to get mentioned in this thread. I think this, what, the third?

Fuck the Universe - Ryan Adams Song for the Dumped - Ben Folds Five

does this makes them officially dad rock? Cause my dad watches that show.

True, very true.

What is not funny about a hit and run, and the attempted murder of police officers?

This has some really good suggestions

Can't believe no one has mentioned The Beatles (aka The White Album). Perfect example of a double album that should have been paired down to a truly kickass single album. I completely agree about you thought on the quality control now lacking with the advent of CD's. I will take it one step further. The boom of digital music and digital recordings have given an artist more of license to produce some really bad music, just to create music (case and point Ryan Adams). No longer do they have to worry about the cost of tape, it is just hard drive space.

Or his 396K yearly salary.

Trailer is up, and it looks awesome All my Friends are Funeral Singers Can't wait for this to come out.

Heartbreaker is a better album then Being There or Summerteeth. But imo it is like comparing Apples to Oranges.

Just because he is now playing for a different team doesn't mean the years that Favre played for the Packers didn't happen. He is part of their history. He is what made the team. He is/was way more important to the run Green Bay had then Vinatieri. Simply put this whole thing is about Ted Thompson. Ted Thompson wanted Brett out, Brett didn't want to leave. Now Brett wants to show him that he can play and potentially win. I can't wait for the first Green Bay Vikings game. I think the entire town of Green Bay is gonna f'ing explode. There will be blood.

freaking awesome

Same way Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is about 9/11. Musicians can see into the future.

I really think it is a case of you (and others) hearing "Wilco" in a Ryan Adams "song" and thinking that there is now an East Coast West Coast feud, between DRA and Jeff Tweedy. There is not, there never will be. Though if you want this feud, then go have it.
-
Give the guy a break. He just wants to play football. Let the man play football. And the drama, he loves the drama.
-
I don't understand how this would piss off a Wilco fan. The line is "Writing songs, slightly country, slightly modern. Like Wilco in Designer Clothes." To it is not a diss on Wilco, but other cheesey "alt-country" bands. Crosby Loggins I am looking at you.

I love Kevin Gregg. Just saying.

Garrison Kellior drives me up an f'ing wall. His dry unfunny musings on a fiction town are more then one can handle. Plus does have to breath right into the mike like that. Good lord. Oh and I will listening to both the Wilco and Neko Case shows.

I was hoping for the video. Guess i will have to wait until I see it on America's Funniest Videos.

So I was thinking about songs that musicians write as tributes to musicians. Mostly as ones who have died, but not necessarily. I have come up with the following: Late -Ben Folds (Elliott Smith) This is That New Song - Badly Drawn Boy (Elliott Smith) Memphis Skyline - Rufus Wainwright (Jeff Buckley) Glenn Tipton - Sun Kil Moon (Glenn Tipton) D. Boone - Uncle Tupelo (D. Boone) Song for Keith - Ryan Adams (Keith Richards) Cocaine and Ashes - Son Volt (Keith Richards) Wish You Where Here - Pink Floyd (Syd Barrett) I am sure I am missing some anyone got any ideas?

This does kinda signify the end of the McNabb era in Philly. I was hoping a few years back he would be with the Bears, but alas that prolly won't happen.

The Brewers are still playing. I thought they folded operations for the year.
