  1. If you haven't check out his Baseball Voices series. It really shows his love of baseball and the art of baseball on the radio. http://www.baseballvoices.com/ Surprised there is not one for Vin Scully.
  2. I don't know that much of him. Being a Cubs fan, I am prolly have a huge basis, but there is no better play by play man than Pat Hughes.
  3. It certainly is fun being a Cubs fan today. It is amazing when a 16 run performance gets overshadowed by a no hitter. Arrieta is amazing right now. A friend offered me this bet. Arrieta's wins plus 10, will be more then the number of earned runs he will give up (last year he gave up 45 earned runs). BTW that Ed Farmer makes no sense.
  4. I did not watch the debate. I think there is a general sort of malaise and indifference towards the political process right now. On the Right we have two pretty much unlikeable people fighting about rules and whatnot. Which is ridiculous. On the Left it has gotten more heated. Bernie can see a path to the nomination now, with his recent wins and because of that he has turned into a politician, with more personal attacks, etc. Really at this point the only way he can win is to cut Clinton down, not further explore his ideas. Gone are his speeches about what he will do for this country
  5. Both Dem candidates our present incarceration rates and said they would do something about. Not really mentioned on the other side.
  6. I think your link is wrong, cause I got a 2 min thing about the fight between Sanders and Clinton on who is qualified to be president. The Dem is race is getting ugly.
  7. Sarcasm is hard to read on the internet. As is your spelling . Are currently wearing mittens?
  8. So went and voted this morning. I was voter number 324, which compared to the last election in Feb (which the only race on the ballot was the Supreme Court primary) at the same time I was number 24. So over 10 times the number of voters thus far. The polling place was crowded, but the everything went smoothly and efficiently. Much better than some of the long lines I saw in the Milwaukee area on TV. It took me longer to get my coffee at the local shop next door then it did for me to vote.
  9. Sorry, I was trying to be playful as well, calm down man. I really did not mean to offend or anything. In all actuality I forgot why I mentioned you and Trump in the first place. I let it go, apparently you did not. I didn't know I would ruffle your feathers. Yikes, the wrath of Sir Stewart is not be trifled with I guess. BTW I still hate the fact you use comic sans in your sig, that should be what is the most offensive here.
  10. I calls em like I see them, nothing stupid in there, others however...
  11. You see what John Oliver is doing with the premium seats at NYY games. Genius https://www.google.com/amp/amp.timeinc.net/si/mlb/2016/04/04/john-oliver-last-week-tonight-new-york-yankees-ticket-policy%3fsource=dam?client=ms-android-verizon#
  12. So tomorrow the Wisconsin Primary is gonna be HUGE. Considering it is an open primary, I wonder how many voters will cross party lines to screw with the others. On one hand if Cruz defeats Trump (currently Cruz leads by 6 or so) this would almost guarantee a brokered or contested convention, which is something that I would like to see. On the other hand, we have the Dem race which is too close to call (I think 2 or 3 points separate Clinton and Sanders). A win in WI for Sanders really gives him further momentum, a win for Clinton finally shuts the door on any chance for Sanders. For the f
  13. I know he was joking and he didn't mean it, but when was the last time a presidential candidate joked about murdering someone. Ted Cruz jokes about running over Trump with this car. Also with Trump's abortion flap (mislead, whatever), Cruz is seemingly coming out on top with the support of women GOP voters. And the seemingly sane on women's issues. But he has a pretty terrible record on women's issues. http://www.bustle.com/articles/71403-ted-cruzs-positions-on-womens-issues-would-make-him-a-disastrous-president The GOP is just plain embarrassing right now.
  14. I read an article were it stated that even if Bernie loses, he and America has already won. Showing the people that you can run an extremely good campaign without super pacs etc. Also getting his ideas out in the mainstream is a bonus.
  15. Apparently he still has a tough row to hoe. I think he still needs 70% or so of the remaining delegates to win.
  16. The tickmaster pre-sale password is starwars
  17. Oh and here is a fine gem from the Junior Senator from Texas. http://www.npr.org/2016/03/22/471405546/u-s-officials-and-politicians-react-to-brussels-attacks WTF? That is so completely outrageous and stupid. It baffles my mind that after reading what he wrote down, he thought, oh yeah that sounds like a good, sane, non horrible thing to say in response to this tragedy. Jesus man, I am not sure if Cruz himself is just pandering to the American idiots out there or he actually believes in that crap. I guess if Cruz is elected president Dearborn MI is on notice. BTW Tinnitus, I am g
  18. I wonder how the attacks in Belgium will impact the rest of the race. While a horrible tragedy, it will like mean a boon to Clinton and Trump. Cause both are "seen" a having a tough foreign policy in contrast of their opponents. However it should be noted that Trump's foreign policy is a bunch of vague, xenophobic, impractical, reactionary rhetoric. But here we go with another round of keep Syrian's out, keep Muslims out, close the borders, etc., etc. etc. The irony here is when there is a mass shooting in America, any mention of gun control laws are met by the Right with fury an
  19. Well this year, there is not one candidate I would have a beer with. I thought I might want to sit down with Kasich, but I saw him this morning on Meet the Press, and man he is a dick.
  20. ^^ I think the main reason is that people are saying Cruz is worse than Trump, when you get down to brass tacks (and immigration and his crazy talk aside), Trump is seen as a fairly moderate Republican. Or at least that is the sense you get from him. Cruz is a pretty dyed in the wool evangelic christian. Cruz just flatly will refuse to compromise on anything, whereas, Trump as business man, understands at time there is a need for compromise. Robert Reich had a piece in Salon about why Cruz is more dangerous than Trump. http://www.salon.com/2016/01/25/5_reasons_ted_cruz_is_even_more_dang
  21. I don't fault anyone for their Chris Gaines phase.
  22. http://www.stereogum.com/1866192/stryper-frontman-denies-he-is-ted-cruz/news/ Freaking awesome
