Modest Mouse has been pretty much hit and miss for me over the years. I am loving this one.

I'm with you on both counts here. Also, if you haven't heard the acapella version of "Range War", you are probably ok to avoid it. I get more emjoyment out of the run from Pollyana through Screwtopia than just about any album. Great stuff.

It really is... One of the few 7+minute songs that I don't want to end leading it off. NP: New Lucero sampler. Great stuff... horns on just about every song and it really works. Looking forward to the full release.

Just finished Elmore Leonard's latest - Rain Dogs. Has any other author had that level of pure output? Seems he has been at it forever and still getting it done.
