Sweet!!! I knew he would play some Joe Henry! I love this song.
-
I loved that Jelly Roll Morton tune too. There is no better way to spend a lazy Saturday morning. A cup of coffee, some great jazz, and lounging around the house.
-
Don't forget to tune in today, folks.......

Where would be the best place to pre-order the album from (best as in getting it on time!). The "evil urges" I have right now to look for the leak are overwhelming. Gotta be strong..............only one more month.

The Philly-Pittsburgh game was painful to watch. Philly never had a chance after the first period and unless they can seriously get their shit together it looks like it could be another short series for the Pens. The Flyers really need to clog up the neutral zone and play a tight, hard-hitting game. There is no way they can skate with the Penguins.

Looking forward to it. A pot of coffee will be brewed and ready for 10 am.

I would love to hear "Smokin' From Shootin'" or "Sec Walkin", along with "I'm Amazed".

HUGE used book sale in our town today, it fills a large gymnasium. Looking forward to finding good records and books. This is a yearly event for me, so I am looking forward to it.

I am a little jealous you guys got Theologians. One of the only ones I was really hoping for in Fargo/Winnipeg that I didn't get. Guess I should have requested it. There are just too many great songs to choose from.

Are more dates for the fall tour posted anywhere? I am hoping for Grand Forks, ND....even Fargo might be do-able, and Winnipeg being the looooooong shot.

Yikes! We will see how my bank account feels. A Minne trip is very pricey these days. When do tickets go on sale? That's also during the week, and I will hopefully have a new job by then, but we will see. I REALLY want to see them, and the chances of them coming back to Winnipeg are very slim, I am guessing. But, thanks alot for the head's-up, solace . Gives me something to think about today at work, haha.

Where would be the best place to pre-order the album? I see Amazon has it up, but I was hoping to get it off the bands website, directly from them. Are there any "deluxe" editions or anything like that coming out?

Listening now....... I like it. A good way for me to check out and sample some jazz artists. Thanks for the heads-up, Lou!

We loaded up on merch too. We bought the Wilco Book, Jeff's poetry book, Sky Blue Sky on vinyl, two of the "Wilco Now." buttons, and my wife got the scarf for herself. I saw a dude with some gear set up right beside the sound guy, but I am not sure if he was taping the show or not. I am still floored by these two nights of Wilco, and yes, words cannot even describe Nels last night. He was a man possessed. But now, my bank account and my body will thank me as there are no more long road trips or shows for a while.

Another great opening act by RGC, even got to briefly meet Alan Sparhawk and Eric Pollard after the show. Wilco, for the second night in a row for us, was as good if not better than our high expectations. Alot of repeats from the night before, but the songs they repeated are great songs, so that's ok. Some nice surprises too. Hummingbird You Are My Face Company In My Back Impossible Germany Handshake Drugs Jesus Etc. I did not see any tapers, but I was up front right against the rail. The drone on "Less Than...." was a few minutes, then Glenn started with the drums into "Spiders". Before the 3rd rock-out in Spiders, they all stopped playing and Jeff was leading handclaps and I thought they were done, and then BANG! right back into it. We were at the venue by about 5pm and we went around back to hear the soundcheck. One of the big garage doors right behind the stage was open. The staff at the venue was really cool. We were standing right by RGC's gear and they didn't give us any weird looks or tell us t

*RGC rocked HARD as an opener. Looking forward to seeing them again tonight. We were right up front, a mere ten feet away from Mr. Tweedy. The show was phenomenal!!!! Jeff was in a good mood, and it looked like they were having the time of their lives up there. My wife just got this album and she is very excited about it. I haven't heard it yet, but we will check it out on the drive down to Fargo today.

Really looking forward to this show, and then Winnipeg the next day. I will hopefully get a setlist up when I am home, unless someone beats me to it. I will most likely only get back home from the show around 3am or so, after the long drive. Then three hours of sleep and off to work. We are hoping to be at the venue early tonight, and get right up front. *Crossing my fingers for no freaky car problems like our last stateside trip..............

Also, Habs are starting Halak in net today.........

On a lighter note....... Sean Avery out with lacerated spleen Still not sure if I love or hate this guy, but too bad for the Rangers.

Happy Birthday Mr. B!! Thanks for all the great jazz tips. I just bought some Cannonball Adderly, Jelly Roll Morton, and Teddy Wilson on vinyl. Diggin' em all!
