Shit! I do now. I was just on their website yesterday morning too. It must have slipped my mind in all the chaos yesterday. I did go to a Barnes & Noble and I found a cool book, so at least something fun happened last night.

I am stuck in St. Cloud, Minnesota, on the way to Minneapolis. The fucking car broke down, so instead of staying in our really nice hotel room in downtown Minne, we are staying in a Super 8. So needless to say I missed Record Store Day at Electric Fetus. Hopefully things go a little smoother tomorrow. But, I did hear "Impossible Germany" while we were sitting in Perkins trying to find a rental car. That was alright.

A Thread for Musical Blasphemy you Truly Believe
Lynch replied to hardwood floor's topic in Someone Else's Song
So many good points here already that I must agree with..... Yes, Arcade Fire is over-rated, but Nirvana is the most over-rated band in the history of music. The singer's voice from the National makes me feel comatose I hate Led Zeppelin A band I used to absolutely adore, The Tragically Hip, now bores the crap out of me, and I am thoroughly depressed that Bob Rock is producing their next album again. I like Wilco much better with Nels Paul McCartney is an arrogant jerk ....and the muted jazz trumpet is one of the best sounds in the world! Oh, and Thom Yorke, that enough now. -
Sweet! That should be good. I like Low. Thanks for the heads up!

I still have not been able to find any info on the Fargo or Winnipeg openers. If anyone has any info that would be cool.

I agree with you there, but I like alot of Doors songs. But, some of Jim's rants and poetry and what not.........what the hell is he talking about? It doesn't taint the Doors for me, so I just ignore it.

One of the first "rock and roll" albums I ever heard when I was a kid. My older brother bought the LP and cranked it up at every chance. This album made a lasting impact on me and the songs have huge sentimental value. Wow, every time I listen to this album its like going back in time........

The Habs fans will be gloating tomorrow at work.......shit. Oh well.

Stanley. I complain about my job alot, and at work I am generally pretty curmudgeonly.

Listening now, and its sounds wonderful! Thanks for the link!

Exactly! We have figured out the entire "who's who" of the Office characters in the office where I work. I have to smirk every time I see the guy we have who fits the profile of Dwight. He just thinks I am a happy guy.

New episode of the Office tonight!!!!!! Michael and Jan throw a dinner party, with what I am sure will be awkward results. 8pm central on NBC

Yes, the Wild lost, but it was a great game. Good hitting, great goaltending, and then the heartbreaker by Sakic in OT. It's shaping up to be a good series. A little surprised at Ottawa. That team is like an ECHL team without Alfredsson in the line-up. Not really showing alot of character, those Sens.

I am looking forward to seeing Ryan, regardless of "risk" involved. Some of his catalogue I don't really dig, but the stuff I like, I REALLY like (Gold, Love Is Hell, Demolition, Whiskeytown, Rock and Roll).

Aren't you forgetting someone???

I cheated and downloaded it (will be buying it next weekend in Minneapolis, the local record stores leave much to be desired). So far I really, really like it. It sounds like vintage James i.e. "Seven" and "Laid". Some standout gems at the first listen already, and a solid sounding album from start to finish. Tim Booth's great voice, Larry Gott's guitar work, Andy Diagram's wonderful trumpet........I love this band!!

I am thinkin' about the show in Winnipeg on Sept. 1. Thinkin'..........................

I would kinda like it if the B's beat the Habs. I work with WAY too many gloating Habs fans right now, and I have always kinda liked the Bruins, especially back in the Neely/Bourque days.

I say Sharks in the West, and the Canadiens in the East. But, can Carey Price take them that far? Perhaps we will see a repeat of Patrick Roy's Conn Smythe-winning performance from '86. I am curious to see how the first round turns out. Alot of these teams played their hearts out getting to a playoff spot, and will they be a little burnt out?

When did this come out? I checked Amazon.com, and it said Apr. 1, but it was out of stock. I would love to get this album. Have really been diggin' Fort Recovery lately.

Finally listened to Tiny Voices in it's entirety, and now I can't stop. I got the album a few years ago as a gift, and I liked "Sold" and "Lighthouse" right off the bat, but never really absorbed the entire album. Now I adore it. Can't wait to get more of his albums.

My lazy Sunday morning albums for this week.

We watched this last night, and really enjoyed it. Very funny and entertaining lighthearted comedy.
