  1. So far my favorite from the new songs is "Smokin' From Shootin'". But, I am really diggin' em all right now. June still feels like an eternity away.............
  2. I take all my crankiness out on my co-workers, leaving only happy thoughts for Via Chicago. It's more fun being a jerk in person.
  3. Firefox 3 is coming out in June. No need to talk about other browsers.............
  4. The MusicSafe Pro's or the Etymotics, where can these be purchased? Would my local drug store have something similiar?
  5. I gave an earlier version of Safari for windows a try. Didn't really do much for me. I am a diehard Firefox user, so I am sticking with that. With Firefox's add-ons and speed I am set.
  6. I am really hoping for Andrew Bird, or (it's a long shot) Eef Barzelay. But yeah, a longer night of all Wilco would be great. I have really liked their setlists lately. A good mix of songs.
  7. Anyone have any ideas or info as to who will be opening for them at these spring dates?
  8. Probably my all-time favorite, especially on the "Lay It Down" album.
  9. Finally got my hands on this......very entertaining. I love this quirky dude!
  10. I am having a horrible morning at work, but this thread cheered me up. I can't wait until May 1st and 2nd!!
  11. I would love to get onto dime as well. Is there a way to still become a member? I really want some British Sea Power stuff from there. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  12. One of my favorite driving albums is Blonde on Blonde. When "Stuck Inside Of Mobile...." comes on it makes me smile. One of the best road trip songs ever!
  13. The X show in the Cabooze on Saturday was a blast. They put on a very tight live set, and Johnny Zoom is fun to watch as a guitar player. He makes it seem just effortless, and is constantly smiling and winking at the crowd. It was a high energy show and the crowd loved it.
  14. My throat still aches from all the yelling and hollering, haha. Still in awe. I met some guy there that said he had taped part of the show. I gave him my email address, and I am hoping he gets in touch with me and that the recording is decent. If it is I will post a link or something to it. I am exhausted. That was a crazy weekend.........
  15. So I am back home in Canada, after an amazing weekend, and a killer British Sea Power show. The concert rocked, well worth the sixteen hour round trip by car. Highlights were of course meeting them before the show (very friendly chaps, Noble spent about 10 minutes looking for a shirt that was the right size for me...it pays to show up early!!). "Down On The Ground" and "Larsen B" were blistering. This was the last show were Colourmusic was opening for them, so it was kind of a special night. Colourmusic did an impromptu "encore" after their set, playing a cover of Metallica's "For Whom The Bel
  16. Using this to calm me down for the 8 hour road trip today. Hope the weather isn't too bad.
  17. I tried calling Triple Rock Social Club and could not get an answer (the mailbox is full, is what is said). I sent an email but I doubt they will get back to me by 7am when we leave from here tomorrow. I think I might just grab one of those disposable digital cameras at a gas station on the way down. I don't know. Why is it the older I get the more paranoid I become? Everything has to be worried about. Fuck it, I will just bring it in and be cool about it. Worst case scenario, I have to buy a new camera. Best case scenario, I get some ass-kickin' photos during "Waving Flags" and maybe wi
  18. British Sea Power - Do You Like Rock Music? Nada Surf - Lucky She & Him - Vol. 1 The Duke Spirit - Neptune Dodos - Visiter My Morning Jacket - Evil Urges (judging by the SxSW show, an early favorite for #1 for me) ....more to come I am sure.
  19. I am seeing them on Saturday at the Cabooze in Minneapolis. Should be a great show. Random fact - Henry Rollins ranks them in his Top 5 live acts of all time.
  20. Haha, neat! I will be the guy in the blue-framed glasses and the orange hat or toque (depending on how cold it is). Hope the weather holds out. Apparently there is a storm watch on for Friday. I am a nervous wreck already! I hate winter travel.
  21. British Sea Power, on BBC2's The Culture Show
  22. A wonderful little set they are offering for free right here. I had a chance to see them in Winnipeg last fall and meet the band after the show. A great concert, and really friendly folks. Erik even gave us an impromptu harmonium lesson. Check this download.
