human wheels is a great track -
agree about makes no difference & danko ... just a devastating vocal and brilliant song ... an all-time favorite of mine i always thought the stampeding cattle line was really interesting in that it has nothing to do with anything else in the song, it just sets the song somewhere in the distant past an odd device but it works beautifully & really gives the song a timeless quality

how about J.C.R. Licklider he was the MIT professor in the 1960s who envisioned a network of interconnected computers around the world where people could communicate with each other and share information. he urged scientists to pursue his vision and next thing you know, we're all on via chicago, arguing about whether john mayer is a talentless hack or a gifted musician whose lyrics need refinement

i've often thought Black Coffee in Bed might be the best song ever
-
mainly hot college chicks i think and their asshole sideways-yankees-cap-wearing boyfriends so yeah, people i don't interact much with either!
-
Mayer is a hulking pile of steaming vomit and I can't be convinced otherwise, no matter how many licks he can play on the guitar.
-
I dig it!!
-
i think he has skill at playing correct notes if you want to call that talent, that's fine, you win
-
I mean, yeah, he's a skilled guitar player he can play the notes he wants to play but really that's irrelevant to the discussion when i hear his music, i think, "holy SHIT ... this guy sucks."
