here's the skinny... it's not truly an Arcade Fire show... but "Members of Arcade Fire", as in Will, Win, Regine, & Jeremy they're playing that show in Athens and another in Cleveland at the Beachland Ballroom on Monday night (also free)

as much as i love that Glen is finally becoming known in America, the fact that this will push a new Frames record and tour off for like a year to 18 months at the least, that really really bums me out

surprised you didn't like Sons & Daughters... i've seen them like 3x now and have found them exhilarating all 3 times. bummed their upcoming Mpls show is canceled, i'll have to catch them at SXSW

yeah, some weird hiccups on Godaddy's end i ended up rebooting the serve to hopefully cure most of it (hadn't been rebooted in 209 days!) will also be transferring to a brand new (similiar specs tho) server next week

there's honestly not much off SBS that i'd consider something that would "broaden the audience", which is why The Thanks I Get would be a nice touch.

they already DID reschedule it though, it was announced almost immediately that the new date is August 7th.... as for the residual effect of the residence gems, i'm guessing that will last all year, and maybe even be better later on after they're tired of SBS songs, who knows! knowing Jeff and the guys, they will make it up to Charleston somehow, trust me.

haha... yeah i certainly love the Frames infinitely more than Swell Season, especially live, but i'm happy for their success and it'd be nice if it translated into more success in the US for the Frames, but i have a feeling it may be minimal.

had they CANCELLED it, i would agree with you, they postponed it.

damn... was kinda hoping there wouldnt' be a presale honestly i'm prolly just gonna head to the box office early Sat morning, avoid the $12-15 per Ticket fee and get a better seat thanks for the heads up tho!

i'm not denying that there's not monetary gain potential here, but did ever occur to you that just maybe Jeff and/or John have wanted to play on SNL for years and years and have never gotten the chance until now?
