did i miss you on Fri/Sat???

Matt can hardly do any wrong by me, i'm definitely surprised how much i love this as well... man i can't wait to check them out in Austin even though Matt only sings on 2 songs (both covers), this will definitely tide me over until his new full length comes out (if it even sees the light in '08)

they did both the Sam Cooke cover AND a cover of Daniel Johnston's "True Live Will Find You In The End", in a nod to Daniel who played First Ave the night before Basia played the Entry. T, i didn't get to chat w/ her enough to say hi to her from you, but i will indeed @ SXSW

Amazing amazing show. The best Wilco show I've seen? Not quite, but easily one of the best setlists I've seen. I can see how Chris preferred last night though, I enjoyed the main set more last night, as they started off pretty mellow tonight, but the 2nd set tonight... Holy shit. As for the repeats, I knew it was going to happen, but didn't expect that many tonight I guess. And Walken and Hate It Here as two of the SBS holdovers? Was just fine with Jesus, etc again with Andrew So awesome that he played almost 1/3 the show. Jealous of thos going to the other 3, but super glad I got to

I was at the back of the main floor, crowd wasn't any better or worse than any other Wilco or other band crowds I've seen. Can't speak for the other levels on the main floor.

Amazing setlist... Very good show During the show I felt like there was a bit too many slow/mellow tunes in a row during the first set, but after the show I realized they were just pacing themselves Like Kevin, plenty of SBS for me last night, but also a crapload of YHF too. They have a LOT of AM and Being There still to play I have a feeling they will repeat a few songs over the 5 nights though, they played too many of their best songs to not... Hoping tonight is a vastly different vibe and setlist tho!

word round these parts is the Sire albums will get similar treatments in October

come on now, they're not that bad! if that's what it took to spawn his musical creativity, then that makes them even cooler

fwiw, the venue he's playing here in Minneapolis is bigger than the Jayhawks played since i moved here in 1999. have a feeling it'll have a pretty empty balcony

so the legend has it... actually i've heard that story is true... but it appears that those weren't the only master copies...
