what singles have Wilco had that actually "went over well" though? : i'm saying in terms of mass appeal and memorable melody, i'd argue pretty hard that What Light? and Either Way are the most easily digestable and memorable melodies on SBS, especially for people not familiar with Wilco, which is all i was saying. didn't say they were the best songs. Hate It Here is sorta catchy, but it definitely doesn't have the appeal of those other 2 songs, nor does Impossible Germany. I'd love for them to play Impossible Germany, but bands get 4 minutes on SNL, so it'd have to be cut down quite a bi

how is that place in Madison? GA?

i'm going to the Mpls show, but i may try for Milwaukee, and if not that one, Madison in June. tickets are a bit spendy ($32/40 here in Mpls), but should be a great show regardless.

June 17th at the Chicago Theater is too far?

really wish this was a full Frames tour, but oh well some really really big venues and a HUGE tour for them, but i guess Once has done pretty damn well, and they're on the Oscars ceremony tomorrow night!

would be nice, but i'm guessing it'll be 2 from SBS i just think Hate It Here would be kind of a goofy choice for people unfamiliar with Wilco... Walken, while i'm not huge on it, would probably come across fairly well for those unfamiliar w/ their music at least. What Light & Either Way are the 2 most commercially viable songs from SBS, so if What Light didn't work well on Letterman (don't think i ever saw it?), then how about Either Way instead?

besides 3-4 songs this is pretty damn boring bordering on terrible... wtf happened?? besides like 5 songs it's all slow/mellow dirges, and not interesting songs at that
-
awesome!!!! but i'm hoping for songs other than Hate It Here & Walken... or at the very least, not Hate It Here :/. since it'll def be songs from Sky Blue Sky, i'd love to hear What Light and Side With The Seeds. Impossible Germany would be totally boss, but it's too long for TV.

people are also very very much so overstating their buzz/hype honestly... they're still very much an unknown band at this point (the venue they are playing here in Minneapolis in April holds 300 and hasn't sold out yet) at this point it's still less than Clap Your Hands Say Yeah's was, and imo, this is much much more justified. Bon Iver's gotten less buzz but deserves even more.. am i bitter no? and lastly, what about those of us who were listening to the Blue CD-R since September (and the EP since July), it's obviously that we're not all swayed by hype like people would love to assume.
