"Rubber Bullets" is one of those songs that I do think stands up next to the big hits in the way that you were looking for, I think. No?

When the hell are we going to get a Colin Moulding solo record?!
PopTodd replied to PopTodd's topic in Someone Else's Song
We'll I'd love a new XTC record, too. But in lieu of that... And I can easily handle a whole record of Colin. I've said it before: underrated. Some of my favorite XTC tunes were his. -
I really want to read this one and have wanted to for a while. Thanks for the reminder! Gonna head to the library today.

Brand new record featuring Joe Pernice (Pernice Brothers) and Gerard Love (Teenage Fanclub). Not quite as wonderful as you would hope, but wonderful nonetheless. 4/5. Definitely worth picking up.

But, coming back to it, those are some pretty good songs. -
Can you believe that this is a real thing?

Anyway, it was my second show of the night, as I high-tailed it over to LAx right from a Pegboy show at The Vic, earlier that night. Tweedy opened the show with a solo/acoustic set. I remember him opening with "Gun" and then he did a few more tunes, before introducing the band. It was a good show. But, IMO, the acoustic stuff was the highlight, as I was never blown away by any of the A.M. stuff. Still, super happy to be there, as I w -
