I'll be in-studio with my favorite Chicago DJs: Razor and Di Kulka to talk about the 10-year anniversary of my first album, the gig in celebration of that anniversary, and new stuff on the horizon. I'll also be playing a few tunes live on the air. WLUW -- 88.7 FM, Chicago 4:00 p.m. CST For those of you out of range of the station, you can always stream them live at: http://wluw.org/ I also sent out FB invites to those of you that I could. Hope that some of you will tune in.

Holy shit. You have SO MUCH to discover!!!! Although they do loose that Dino Jr./grunge edge to their sound pretty much immediately after Bandwagonesque. Still, IMO, Songs From Northern Britain is their best album. GET IT!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mMPxxDb7xY And yes, every song on there is pretty much this good. A couple are better.

9 years ago today I had brain surgery. First things I said when I came out of surgery: "Do I look sexy for my wife? And then, as they were trying to put me into the CAT scan: "Weren't you just in there?"

I like the single, too. I found the album just to sort of float pleasantly on by. Didn't really grab me, but didn't offend either. Wife likes it, though.

Agree. I just saw this thread getting into a little more "religion is stupid" territory and wanted to put the brakes on that a little. -

The bottom line is: What I believe is what I believe. And, if religion is what helps you get through the day, who am I to say that what you believe is not true? Why can't there be multiple truths? I have friends who had it real rough for a long time: drugs, alcohol, mental illness: and finding religion is what saved their lives. Literally. That kind of power has to have SOMEthing behind it, right? And who am I to take it away from them? I think that most of you would agree, probably. And also, like most of you, the only time that I have an issue with it is when somebody tries to impose their -

A Jew, myself, I have been filled to the brim with Holocaust stories. So sick of hearing the tales, even as I understand the importance of keeping them alive. Nonetheless, this does sound compelling. And, for the first time in a long time, I actually want to read something like this... in this genre, as it were. Thanks for the heads-up.

I mean, the thing is... I believe in science: the Big Bang and all that. But, something had to come before. Given the theory of the conservation of matter: WHAT (or WHO) created the matter that coalesced into the tiny, dense thing that exploded out, becoming the universe? Science can't explain it, so it had to be something beyond our comprehension. I mean, obviously it is. Call it what you will: some just choose to call it God. I'm cool with that. -
