Listening to this now and am really enjoying it. So... just a reminder that HE IS OFFERING IT FOR FREE DOWNLOAD AT HIS SITE! It is absolutely not for everyone, but you may be someone that may actually enjoy this. I do.

How about just: Your favorite?

So, maybe I was overstating Prince's solo as being the best ever. Yeah, we can all do with a bit of hyperbole every now and then. What IS your pick? Me? Whilst Robert Quine remains my favorite guitar player ever, for the best solo ever, Ira Kaplan gets my nod for: Yo La Tengo - "Pablo and Andrea" It's everything that a solo should be... it takes the feel and emotion of the song and elevates them to all new highs. Fekkin' brilliant without any showboating.

Excellent.

I mean seriously, how sick is this?!?! And yeah, that's George Harrison's kid standing behind Prince, with the acoustic; having his mind blown along with everyone else. I mean, his dad was a Beatle, and even he is in awe of the little man.

Any news of Mangum recording is good news! I do hope that he starts writing again, too. -

I've only been to Italy: Southern Italy (Apulia). It's my favorite place in the world; Lecce, in particular. -
Had a perfectly poured Guinness yesterday. It was incomprehensibly wonderful; a reminder as to why (when poured correctly and served at the proper temperature), Guinness is the still the best beer is the world.

Has yet to be determined. But probably not. (I mostly used that for listening to mixes in various formats in the production phase.)

Yes and no. Thanks. And I suppose that I should temper my comments. Those with whom I did collaborate (and there were many) contributed a LOT to the album. Their talents are not going to go overlooked, simply to feed my ego. But the fact is, this is an album that I never could have done, were I confined to the construct of the band-as-a-unit. The collaborators brought a lot, but they were hand picked by me. Hence, I feel that this album is more me than anything else I have done. And it feels good. So pardon my crowing.
