  2. M.O.T.O. - Single File X - Los Angeles/Wild Gift Golden Smog - Weird Tales Andrew Bird - The Mysterious Production Of Eggs
  3. Really? Wow. Thanks. I was just thinking of my favorites, and there are a few. Trakan M.O.T.O. Thomas Pace Paper Airplane Pilots These are just from still-existing bands.
  4. Priest and Sabbath With Iron Maiden and Motorhead getting serious consideration. And as to what it "Metal" -- for me, it's a feel thing.
  5. For some reason I can't see the list, but my favorite of theirs was always: Muppet Hunting Is that on there?
  6. Alien Lanes Bee Thousand Under The Bushes... Propeller Mag, Earwhig
  7. It's not even close for me. I love the Byrds and can't stand the Doors.
  8. I'm sure it does. Notice the little smiley guy poking you; that means that I'm teasing you back in good fun. I'm sure that it does go around like this, but I wasn't here in '02 and so I'm starting this new series. If it gets no response (or only annoyed responses), I'll stop it. But we're music geeks, lists are our lifeblood. I have other bands in mind for the series, too. At another board, someone started a "best albums of (year)" thread series that was a lot of fun.
  9. Or, just not respond to the threads that they find repetitive.
  10. That's the one that is nipping at the heels of my #5. And on any other given day could be my number 3 or so.
  11. Let's continue this series, shall we? My top five:
  12. Just picked it up at Amazon. And, for the record, here is the poop on it from AMG:
  13. David Grahame - compilation Thelonius Monk - Best Of the Blue Note Years M
  14. I kinda thought that for a short time, too. Then I found out the the Laid album was produced by Brian Eno, so I took a closer look. And I am very glad that I did. There is a LOT there (obviously, from the posts here).
  15. Bee Gees - To Love Somebody Beach Boys - You Still Believe In Me Kinks - Waterloo Sunset That Kinks one was tough, so I just went with the classic that I've loved the longest. But it could have just as easily been any of 15 or 20 others.
  16. I'm Only Sleeping She Said, She Said Hey Bulldog I've Just Seen a Face one of those or 50 others.
  17. Damn. It never occurred to me about the commedian/Chris Elliott's dad. That's funny. Anyway, different guy.
  18. Bob Elliott I'll do this every now and then for some of the folks I've found at this site that are really fantastic. Bob just sent me a couple of his CDs and I am so completely digging them! Call it street teaming, if you like, but you know that I'm not on the payroll of this guy. He's just a suburban dad like me, who likes to rock when he can. Hope you like it and let him know if you do. No need to mention my name.
