  1. Sad to say that I don't know The Rutles as well as I should. But I am a huge Bonzo Dog Band and Monty Python fan (note my icon). So... a purchase should be in my near future.
  2. But will he actually make it to the stage?
  3. The Kingsmen - Louie Louie
  4. Supergrass - Life On Other Planets The Fall - The Real New Fall LP Latcho Drom (OST)
  5. My 6-year-old likes him because he did the music in the Curious George movie. As to me, he's innoccous. Don't hate him, but I don't love him, either. I'd much rather listen to Jack Johnson than to Dave Matthews.
  6. Saw the first Chicago show and it was amazing, as well. A 2-hour drunken singalong. Pray that they play "Sally MacLannane"
  7. Almost my exact reply, word-for-word. Also the Cale/Eno collaboration Wrong Way Up is outstanding, as well.
  8. Deee-Lite - Groove Is In the Heart
  9. Here's mine: www.poptodd.muxtape.com

  14. Long Duk Dong: Last Of the Hollywood Stereotypes? http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.p...toryId=88591800 I still call my wife "sexy girlfriend."
  15. Just make a couple of mixes. That's what I always did. I made a new one for each road trip that I took -- so each mix took on it's own particular poignancy for me.
  16. "Damn hell. You say you won it?" -A Christmas Story
  17. Old Crow Medicine Show - O.C.M.S. Yo La Tengo - Electr-o-Pura
  18. Strictly from Rob Reiner movies: "Anybody want a peanut?" -Fezzig (Andre the Giant) in The Princess Bride "My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." -Inigo Montoya (Mandy Patankin), also in The Princess Bride "This one goes to eleven." -Nigel Tufnel (Chris Guess) in This Is Spinal Tap
  19. Got married in MI (Traverse City). Of course, we had a keg of Oberon (when it was still called SolSun). And I thought the distributor issue was resolved?
  20. Luna - Penthouse Hoodoo Gurus - Gorilla Biscuit Yo La Tengo - Fakebook Smoking Popes - At Metro The Best Of The Johnny Cash Show: 1969 - 1971
  21. I have 2. I pretty much only go to my own shows. And the VERY rare "special" show that I just can't miss.
  22. So now that the show is booked, when I post about the show as it gets closer, are y'all gonna call me out on that then, too?
  23. List your single favorite; rank your Top 5, or whatever. But an explanation as to what about the album MAKES it your favorite would be nice. For me: Younger Than Yesterday Just the songs. I don't know. It's the first of their albums that has NO involvement, whatsoever, from Gene Clark. And, while his presence is certainly missed, there's an intangible quality to the record that just keeps me going with it. The first Chris Hillman compositions are on here and, Clarence White's playing on "Time Between" is freaking sublime. After that one, it's probably: Mr. Tambourine Man Sweethearts Of the
