My favorite Bowie record.

I saw them once before, back in 1989 -- opening for the Violent Femmes. It was the first I'd ever heard of them and, obviously it sparked something in me. Really looking forward to the show on the 5th.

I'm going to see them on March 5 and wanted to know how they've been on this tour. How's Shane been? Do they bring the rock? What's the setlist like? Any other Chicagoans gonna be there on the 5th?

Rumor had it that the Chicago-based ork-pop band was working on a new record (their first since 2000's A Month Of Sundays). But that was already a couple of years ago. Has anyone heard anything recently? I'm listening to that 2000 album now and, as it always does, it's killing me with its beauty. Anyone? Kevin Junior, are you out there? John Stiratt? You played on the last album... you heard anything?

We heard "Concrete Jungle" on the radio a couple of months ago, and my kids (8 and 6) were in the backseat... ROCKING!!! Singing along: "In the concrete jungle.... In the concrete jungle!!! "Dad, do you have this CD? You need to get it!" My kids rock. And to respond to this: If you have The Wilderness Years, no. If you don't HELL YES!!!

"Oooh Baby Baby" by Smokey Robionson & The Miracles Motown in the 60's is good for about 90% of mine.

There are too many, but I will pick a few: "Without You" sung by Harry Nillsson "Isn't She Lovely?" by Stevie Wonder (yeah, I know it's about a baby, but it's still a love song) "My Girl" by The Temptations and, of course: "H-A-T-R-E-D" by Tonio K. which is a twisted kind of love song in it's own right.
