  3. I always make it a point to rotate my listening so that I do NOT get sick of the music that I love. That is probably why you hardly ever see me listening to Wilco. My wife listens to them enough at home so that I get my fill there. I do love it, so I do not want to get sick of it. Hence, no Wilco for me at work.
  4. I ain't visited much, sad to say; especially in my adult years. But, from what I have:

  10. Same here, only we're also getting sub-zero temps to go along with the snow! I love the Midwest.
  11. I just enter online. And yeah, I am an "XRT VIP". Basically, that just gives me the right to enter into more contestes... with better odds. So I guess that helps. A lot.
  12. Such a brilliant, underrecognized songwriter. I actually shed a few tears the day that I heard of her death.
  13. Seriously. Not only were Stiff: "The Worlds Most Flexible Label" But all of their albums were: "Electrically Recorded". Their roster included: Nick Lowe The Damned Graham Parker The Rumour Elvis Costello Tenpole Tudor Madness Kirsty MacColl The Pogues Desmond Dekker Tracey Ullman (yes, her) and many more that you've never heard of, but you really should hear. I have a small condensation of the 4-disc set, if you need convincing. But, you should really just buy it! There was a reason that people said:
  14. I don't know. But I bought a lottery ticket this week... just because.
  15. This will be something to see. Thanks for the info. Maybe I'll win tickets to this too.
  16. I've seen him a couple of times -- both solo/acoustic -- and he is phenominal. So intense. But it's been a few years (like, 10), so I'm pretty stoked.

  18. Just got this email from WXRT: I met Louie and Wendy at the Steve Earle Studio X show a couple of months ago... which is how I wound up here. Wow. Just wow. Good run.
  19. Summuffabitch. Just more evidence that we are moving backwards... back to the puritanical values that we had previously been liberated from.
  20. As soon as my wife finishes with it:
  21. Me too, at least when it comes to what my kids see and hear. For instance, when I play a cover of Camper Van Beethoven's "Good Guys and Bad Guys", I change the line: Just get high while the radio's on to: Just say hi while the radio's on They're 6 and 8. Old enought to get it, but not really. They don't need to be asking me why I condone such things by singing about them.
