"22" meaning double bagger?

I don't know about this. If anything, I would say that the only reason the Sox aren't hated on a level of the Yankees is that they don't have the history of success that the Yankees. But I would think that the Red Sox are the #2 hated team, but I think that's more attributable to Red Sox Nation than to the team itself.

I agree with this. I like the Yankees for being the Yankees. Parity sucks. I'll take dynastys over parity any time.

I remember a Sports Illustrated article from a number of years back. A survey was sent to various doctors, asking what changes they would support to make football safer. Surprisingly, a large number advocated taking away helmets altogether. They claimed that helmets made players too fearless, and they would have to learn to tackle and hit with head-safety being their number one concern. Certainly someone without a helmet wouldn't tackle by leading with their face. I would like to see a study done on concussion rates for professional rugby players.

That seems to be a fair trade for both teams. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v71FqkDMV1c PhanOOF!

Boy's dignity floats away in stupid publicity stunt
Winston Legthigh replied to cryptique's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Except for the fact that the family already signed up for TV coverage by participating in Wife Swap, and was activelty campaigning for a new reality TV show. Other than those factors, I can't see why the family would actively seek a media event. -

I'm going to start referring to the amount of friends I have as "piles" - or maybe I'll just start referring to my hemorrhoids as "friends."

The best band in the 1990s
Winston Legthigh replied to Gobias Industries's topic in Someone Else's Song
I didn't name them only because I think they're bigger than the 90s! Besides that, of the 4 albums they did in the 90s, I'd only put Kiko in their top 5 of all time. (The others being How Will The Wolf Survive, By the Light of the Moon, La Pistola Y El Corazon, (which were all released in the 80s) and The Town & The City (their most recent album)). -

Conflicting stories on Hurdy Gurdy Man. JPJ was definitely involved, as he arranged (and produced?) the song. Page claims he was in the U.S. at the time, but thinks Jeff Beck may have recorded a version which was not used. Regardless, Page says he was sought out by Donovan, but was unavailable, and definitely did not. So, you have Donovan saying it was Page, and Page saying he was not there. I could just be a case of selective memory of either dude. Regardless, the guitar wail and following drum roll is one of my favorites.

Best use of Donovan: Tied between Goodfellas and Futurama. Hail Atlanta! It's a weak version of good Donovan. The studio version has a killer flute lick, so to speak.

Heard "Hate it Here", appropriately enough, at Nordstrom Rack on Sunday.

Finished season 1 Friday night, with a 3 episode mini marathon. Jesus, what a kick-in-the-nuts pessimistic ending. Good guys demoted, weak guys promoted, and the drug trade goes on and on and on. Good to see Omar in the final shot. "It's all in the game..." has become my phrase of choice with my wife to explain when things go wrong. "Did you get milk?" "Aww babe, I forgot - it's all in the game yo."
