Cabrera... Sad, lame, and awful to put his wife through something like this.

Madness - The Liberty of Norton Folgate
Winston Legthigh replied to PopTodd's topic in Someone Else's Song
I gave this a listen over the weekend. It didn't really leave an impression on me, other than inspiring me to want to put on The Good The Bad & The Queen, which I think is a great album. -
(Tigers fans who knew he couldn't hit curve balls.)

We had broken up for good just an hour before Uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh Now I'm staring at the bodies as they're dancing 'cross the floor Uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh And then the band slowed the tempo when the music took you down Uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh It was the same old song with the melancholy sound They don't write 'em like that anymore They don't write 'em like that anymore We been living together for a million years / ... Uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh But now it feels so strange out in the atmospheres / ... Uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh And then the jukebox plays a song I used to know / ... Uh uh uh

Zappa had two: Roxy & Elsewhere, and Apostrophe(').

No, I mean that he was doing fret tapping and such.

I saw Rain about a year ago. Good show. Fake-Paul didn't bother to learn how to play bass left-handed though. Fake-George's solo during Gently Weeps was too modern. Overall a B+.

If Kariya can stay healthy and deliver, and they can continue the play they had in the 2nd half of last season, I agree - they should be very solid.

I had Hairway to Steven on vinyl - I wonder what the hell happened to it?

Deaf, not Death. And how do the Rolling Stones get into a top-anything list post Tattoo You? -
Yep. George was 26 when his Beatles career ended.

I blue myself.

After a miserable 1st half, Magglio Ordoñez has really delivered lately. Side note: is it too much to ask for print news to put a fucking tilde above the n in Ordoñez's name?

There's no hard evidence that the judge intended to change the plea bargain. Polanski fled based on a rumor.

Being on the lam is punishment??? If someone buys your argument, you should definitely be a litigator.

You've never been to Singapore, have you? Caning is a pretty effective deterrent to vandalism.

Reminds me of a quote from Lawrence of Arabia: "A man who tells lies, like me, merely hides the truth. But a man who tells half-lies has forgotten where he put it."

Lions! finally off the schneid.

The Blasters are no more? I thought I saw them come through town (sans Dave Alvin, but everyone else intact) last year? Maybe even last spring? More or less true about Los Lobos recent records, though I'd put Town and the City in their top 5.

Is this what you're talking about? That Meredith Brooks is something else - she's like every woman all in one!

We had our fantasy draft last night. I'm pretty happy with my results: Bertuzzi was a throw-away. I don't expect much from him, but he could crank out 30 goals. Was surprised to see Marleau last as long as he did. 11 Niklas Backstrom, Min 14 Jeff Carter, Phi 35 Ryan Miller, Buf 38 Corey Perry, Ana 59 Dan Boyle, SJ 62 Niklas Kronwall, Det 83 Patrick Marleau, SJ 86 Devin Setoguchi, SJ 107 Brooks Orpik, Pit 110 Dustin Brown, LA 131 Paul Kariya, StL 134 Anze Kopitar, LA 155 Steven Stamkos, TB 158 Roman Hamrlik, Mon 179 Ilya Bryzgalov, Pho 182 Fedor Tyutin, Cls 203 Todd Bertuzzi

Speaking of that, "Sexy Sadie" Atkins, the one who killed Sharon Tate, died.

One Time One Night, one of my Lobos favorites.
