bob: never ending tour: i believe he sees himself as a troubadour, comfortable in his skin, performing his art, completely, blissfully, unconcerned with our opinions. I'm thankful he continues to create, redefine, and perform his art. anyone thinking about the tour title: "Americanarama"?? this just may be an all- american string based celebration of the music that shapes our domestic musical bliss with its heartland roots fully in focus: Woody Guthrie should be heavy in Wilco's rotation; MMJ's version of "Going to Acaupaulco" (gorgeous) as well I hope! the diva/ backstage brown M&M no

i don't consider managing in the NL more "complex". These guys have seen thousands of ball games - I don't believe the managerial strategy skill set is significantly different- there's really not that many outcomes, although my favorite Uncle Charley Manuel apparently struggled with the mystifying double switch early with the phils..... I'd put more weight in the small market/ big market shift to measure true managerial skill (see: joe maddon vs. joe giraldi ) there's a bigger shift from old school to new school in the managerial ranks, too. Regarding DH- once introduced in AL, it's inevit

agreed, diane. roger lit the wick for the passion i have for film that burns bright to this day. his passion, expertise, and humor led me to love movies, all kinds, and my hours of celebration and appreciation for the art form is an immense gift that he has given me, and i believe, many others. RIP, and prayers for the family. I'll see YOU at the movies, my friend.

40 Years? Dang, at this point the thread title is inappropriate! (but i'm not offended) (not that it matters) (' cause love is love when it comes to consenting adults) "what's so funny about peace, love, (the environment) and understanding?"

"Tweedy said Staples taught him how to be himself." the lessons just may be in the hands of the elders: we must ensure that we're ready to receive them. thanks for posting.

Prince just played a show at SXSW, sponsored by Samsung Galaxy no less: NO CAMERA PHONES, enforced. So if Prince can make it happen....why not Jeff (and the boys)? -

you never forget your first lotti, if you have the good fortune to meet, um , that person. it was a dark night behind the Tower Theater, February 2008. on the way to the show, I'll never, ever forget "Sneaking Lotti thru the Alley"

always amazing, and probably a fairly new phenomenon for Bobby? if yer gonna yap, yap in the back of the room, or between songs, or in the freaking lobby. funny how this behavior seems particular to concerts- completely unacceptable at the theater, or a classical music performance, a recital, a reading or (i imagine) the opera?? knuckleheads.
