  9. this is what I listened to on commute home from work: Steve Gorman Sports!A lifelong sports fan, in March 2010, Gorman hooked up with his friends Mitch Blum and Brandon Gnetz to create a sports, music and pop culture podcast and website called Steve Gorman Sports! On the show Gorman tells tales of life on the road and riffs on current sports, music and pop culture events. Gorman's show was broadcast on a Nashville radio station but he left the station in the summer of 2013. On January 2, 2014, it was announced that Gorman would join Fox Sports Radio as the host of a daily three-hour show fr

  15. I interpreted the lyric as in "my cat ran away, my care won't start, and then I got an ex-girlfriends letter that reminds me I'm not over her".
  16. I definitely got schmoked by the Dog last night. Band was in super form and vibe for the hometown show. Lots of energy, tight playing, and spasmatic dancing by me. Leaned on the excellent B-Room mixed in with some older material. Their catalog is fairly deep and the roadwork keeps the chops getting better each time I see them. Oh, and there was a special guest for the encore:
  17. Dr. Dog at the Electric Factory- first show of year (for me).
  18. they do offer single day - but later. I went the first time on a lark, and ended up having a fantastic time! Newgrass/ bluegrass/ folk and Americana. Plus not so big. My full blown 50k+ festival days are loooong gone!
  19. i still have a weird crazy vibe about Jeff at Delfest on Memorial Day weekend (this will be my third). I was trying to dream up some bluegrass arrangements of Jeff's tunes and came up with too many ideas. So I googled "Wilco Bluegrass' and actually found a record made by some band and/ or complilation on Amazon called "Pickin' on Wilco" from 2004, Cheap, I only listened to some samples. and the Delfest/ Tweedy dream I have came into focus!
  20. wow, Workbook is really 25 years old? I remember buying that on cassette at Tower Records on South Street in Philly the week it came out...
  21. tomorrow the East Coast gets a wintry welcome.

  23. that made me laugh. hope he plays that deep cut, "Piano something or other" but i gotta love and applaud the schlock factor. and if I was there, I probably know every lyric.
