Thank you for the info, sound better than Sugar Mtn, however for those who purchased it, did it seem worth it? I'm trying to justify spending additional 20 bucks for something I already have audio for.

When I bought Sugar Mtn I purchased the CD/DVD copy and with the exception of the amusement of having the Archives Trailer on it (historically speaking it is cool to have a trailer for something we'll never see). Anyway I was a little underwhelmed by the DVD content and my wife said, "Do you like staring at a picture of Neil Young?" When I bought Filmore and Massey Hall I just bought the CD copy. Are the DVD versions worth it (have any interesting content) or is just like Sugar Mountain where there is the same picture on the screen while the audio plays?

Just noticed there is a 6 song live I tunes exclusive up on Itunes (that was obvious) I haven't downloaded because it says live from Vegas (that just makes me feel dirty) Anyway it looks like a mix of one unreleased and 5 older songs. Anyone heard it yet?

I have been listening to "Doves and Stones" off of the new album and I love the song, but what the hell does this mean. Am I stupid or what?

i think what's even more impressive (and at times downright scary) is that Robin Pecknold is only 22 years old... guy has a LOT of great years ahead of him and is off to one helluva start. That is music making prime in my mind. I always listen to early neil young and think wow he was 23 when he put out Everybody Knows This is Nowhere. If you listen to Mykonos and don't hear CSN then you haven't really listened to CSN. Also I'll agree that seeing them live IS the way to go. I had never heard a note from them until I saw them at Sasquatch and that was all it took. I thought they were real solid on SNL. Sounded great.

My comment isn't as much about the rock and roll hall of fame (because that is stupid and tiresome) it is more about award shows. Why do the movies have a critically (not popular) based award show circuit, while music has only popular based awards? I mean, you watch the Academy Awards or Golden Globes and they are all non mainstream endeavours (usually). But you watch the Grammy's and it ALL mainstream. I just wish music we listen to would get the sun shined down on it without it having to be on some wierd interent blog or fanzine. As for the RnRoll HOF. that is a true joke. Jeff Beck?

After watching this again, I have to agree that Jay took his normal sulking to a whole other level here. I would have accidently back handed him with my telecaster if I was Jeff. This appearance on Conan changed my musical life. This is what introduced me to Tupelo back in the day, and the rest is history. I noticed on the response above that Wilco also played Box Full of Letters on Conan. Anyone have that to post.

Ok, great I don't want to argue about it, Neil is probably one of my favorites of all time and I own almost everything he ever did, but he also frustrates me at times by being so reactionary. I just want to say that I'm sure when it comes to some of my favorite musicians I can struggle for objectivity. For example, I've heard few Ryan Adams songs that I don't like and don't understand the "he needs an editor" crap. I so wanted to love Mirrorball. At the time I was a huge PJ fan and loved the first single, but that record kind of drones on for me. Same with Greendale and alot of his more rocking stuff in the past 10-15 years seems kind of lazy. The first few times with Crazy Horse was raw and fresh, now it just seems tired.
