  4. Somewhat scathing... http://www.timesunion.com/entertainment/article/Son-Volt-remains-true-to-alt-roots-4598866.php
  5. If you get there early you can park in #3 or right along River St, if you get there later I have no idea.

  7. I think some old poppy/folky Simon & Garfunkel would be cool, 59th St Bridge song, Mrs Robinson, Sounds of Silence...
  8. Sorry, I was referring to the original Aquarium Drunkard link to the Stop Making Sense show in '83.
  9. Ah...this is an old thread, didn't see that, oh well the files are long gone....booo-hooo!
  10. Thanks for posting this, I was at this show, 4th row, slept outside of SPAC to get tickets. It was back in the days before we knew what to expect from a concert, and the whole crowd was in attendance, there was no opener, and the stage was empty and the lights were on. People were getting restless as concert time came and went, and then a rumor made it's way around that band and their equipment were delayed due to accident on the highway but that they were on their way. Out walks David Byrne with a boom box and acoustic guitar and the rest is history....
  11. It's an awesome venue, I'll be there! Last concert I saw there was Lou Reed about 4 years ago, same time of year, it was sublime.
  12. Reminiscent of the shower scene music from Psycho, it fits the lyrics perfectly.
  13. http://www.tristateindie.com/?p=23470 Moderator Edit: GO HERE TO LISTEN! http://wilcoworld.net/twlsplash/# The stream has ended ... thank you Wilcoworld!
  14. Not too shabby... http://yeproc.com/news.php?articleId=7398
  15. The whole weekend was mind blowing. The luxury of seeing green grass and trees and the privilege of standing in the glorious rain to watch the best band in world (it hasn't rained here in 4 months and the world is burning, so I enjoyed getting watered). The best part was shaking Jeff's hand at the falconry demo and seeing the fun he and his family were having.
  16. We'll be there!! 3 days of work and then we're off!!
  17. Besides being a Wilco fanatic I am also a falconer, who if you know any, are also a seriously fanatical lot. I'm friends with Chris Davis and will be helping him with his birds on Sunday (the only day he's there). I'm not exactly sure what he has planned, but he may do a person to person flight demo where he gets volunteers from the crowd and the bird flies between a half dozen folks landing on their gauntlet (which Chris will supply). Don't hold me to it, but if that's what he's going to do it's a blast and shouldn't be missed. Stop by and say hello at least, Chris has some beautiful Harr
  18. Sounds like a horrible time...
