Here's another pointless, stupid poll I thought of because I'm bored... I think I'm going to have to pick Summerteeth, because they have enough members now to pull of what was done in crazy overdub sessions by Tweedy and Bennett - a more "organic" approach to the album. I would, however, expect much better things out of "I'm Always in Love" than what they've done with it live. And maybe replace some of the extra keys/organs with more guitar fills...
-
Note that SBS is the record Tweedy chose to send Ms. Staples to give her an idea of what Wilco sounds like. Maybe producing a straight-up soul/gospel record will make the next Wilco record sound more like the "dirty soul" that SBS was supposed to be. (read: I did hear the soul in SBS, but it wasn't all dirty.) (read: i enjoy SBS).

I'm not getting any sound off of this...

If you live in the DC-Maryland-Virginia area, she'll be at the University of Maryland on October 29. -
A tremendous man he was. Many can emulate him, but few, if any can match his accomplishments and character.

I get most of my concert tips from the local music blogs - City Paper, DCist, WaPo's Click Track, etc. - and didn't see one mention of it. I would think that they'd at least make a small mention of it, but everyone was too busy covering Paul McCartney getting the Gershwin Prize at the White House... -

Sh*t. I had no idea this was even happening. I would have been there. -
I realize this, thank you for pointing it out. I'm going to be extra careful with my posts since you seem to have a rebuttal prepared for most of them.

Far, far, outta the park... or The Spiders. (Kidsmoke) may not go over well in a youth league. -
Looks like that minor league ballpark tour really inspired them... http://pitchfork.com/news/39005-wilco-sponsors-little-league-teams/

Great f*cking riff. All this time I thought it was George who did the count-in, and someone here recently said that it was Paul....
