  1. Well said. And I too enjoyed - quite a bit - the new record from The Hold Steady.
  2. One of my greatest loves, Spoon, opened for Arcade Fire. Don't know how it'd go with Wilco. There's an interesting take on The Suburbs in Paste: http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2010/08/listen-up-knocking-the-suburbs.html.
  3. Man, I love that song. Great opener for that album.
  4. All of the licks & fills in this tune are perfect. Perfect.
  5. And to actually "answer" the thread: Ranking of Favorite Shows: 2/18/2006 (Jeff Tweedy, Rococo Theatre, Lincoln, NE) 10/13/2007 (Wilco, CrossroadsKC, Kansas City, MO) 3/30/2010 (An Evening with Wilco, Strathmore, Bethesda, MD) 7/3/2009 (Wilco, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Morrison, CO) 1/19/2007 (Jeff Tweedy, Cain's Ballroom, Tulsa, OK) 3/21/2006 (Wilco, Uptown Theater, Kansas City, MO)
  6. Paste reported on a new Crowes web series, 20 Years of Tall Tales, starting this week and continuing through the rest of the month. http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2010/08/the-black-crowes-tell-20-years-of-tall-tales.html
  7. Just got it working this morning too. Here's some details on how I finally got it to play... Got the Wilco HQ e-mail and clicked on the provided link, which took me a page to subscribe to the podcast in my Google Reader. Tried listening through the embedded player in Reader, but it didn't work. Went to wilcoworld and tried to grab it through that route, to no avail. Checked my iTunes podcast, didn't show a new podcast available yet. Went back to the Reader, saw that there's a link to the original source audio, an M4A file, right-clicked, downloaded, dragged it into iTunes and am now l
  8. I found 'em on AOL's Spinner. I've actually picked up on quite a bit of good stuff over there on their weekly "Free CD Listening Party."
  9. Hey, I do what I can. I'm trying to let go of the fear of being lashed out at for starting a new thread when there's a previously existing one buried in the pages...I've seen it happen.
  10. We got "Shouldn't Be Ashamed" and "Everlasting Everything" that night. I remember being annoyed that the guys in Okerville River only knew the phrase "California Stars" when they came out to jam on that song.
  11. I was at this show, one of my favorites. I was a little let down by Okerville River, but dug hearing a few rarities from Wilco that night. Poignant moment for me: when Tweedy placed his palm on his chest as he sang the line "no love's as random / as my love" during the final chorus of "Can't Stand It" and then ripped into a wicked solo on the white Telecaster.
  12. A Pinkerton Deluxe Reissue is out on 10-5. Wonder what's on that?
