  1. I second this. Luckily my last order from them wasn't damaged, but I was appalled at the way it was packaged.
  2. I think the melody is better in "Kamera," and agree with you on the point of the repetition in "War on War." I think the best versions of both songs are on YHF.
  3. Unfortunately, no. I had a surprise guest from out of town show up that evening and plans changed. I wonder if it will ever pop up again somewhere else...
  4. ooooooh i love that one. when i'm in the car i can never decide which harmony part to sing. the blend of jeff, john and pat's voices there are just tremendous.
  5. Sub out Dash 7 for Roses. And Box Full of Letters for Pick up the Change. I saw Tweedy play Blue-Eyed Soul in a solo show in Tulsa and it was riveting. Much more so than the record version, which is pretty awesome itself. Ok, I'm done picking apart your setlist...it's pretty damn good as is.
  6. The Beach Boys-y harmonies of Summerteeth in "Candyfloss" and the ba-ba-ba-ba's in "When You Wake Up Feeling Old."
  7. Lucky! I was just discovering the band when KT came out...
  8. This setlist is excellent. Adding "Remember the Mountain Bed" would be stellar; but if I absolutely had to do it at the expense of other tracks (because it's so damn long), I'd take out two UT songs, "If That's Alright" and "Satan, Your Kingdom Must Come Down," and the Loose Fur tracks, "Chinese Apple" and "The Ruling Class," as much as I hate to do so.
  9. Absolutely it would have. So maybe, someday, when Wilco is just bursting & swelling with generosity (even more so than they are now) they'll put 'em out. Or I could go the rest of my life not hearing those full shows. KT is an excellent document, a fine piece of pie. I'd love the cake.
  10. I've pulled files from Megaupload before, but clicking on this one brought up a prompt from Google Chrome that said it detected malware...
  11. Yes, I think I had heard this before...it's just wishful thinking.
  12. Finally got around to listening to the set last night after letting it sit opened & unplayed for about a week. The sound was marvelous through my system, and the bonus tracks are great - they nearly close the AGIB gap and add in a little more variety to the setlist. Now if I could only hear the full concerts from the entire period that KT was recorded...
  13. Awesome! Being There has terrific background vocal arrangements all over it. "Someday Soon," "Forget the Flowers," "What's the World Got in Store." Very well done on all accounts.
  14. Yes to "Pick up the Change." Have always loved that. And yes to the AM-BT phase. For me personally, aside from KT and ST (the first two records that I had), the AM/BT combo is what really hooked me. Especially BT.
  15. I love the way he sings the the final lyric in each verse before "it's just that simple." "you'd parlay that by triple," "it wasn't even like we made a ripple," etc.
  16. nah. i'm over it. the swampy maryland heat was getting to me yesterday.
  17. There might be some who'd argue for "Less Than You Think," but I don't feel "Hamami" can really even be counted as part of the "official" canon...more like a sound experiment with a title than an actual song.
  18. I love these videos - nice to see them all in one clip! I've only seen them broken up into individual clips on YouTube. I think that's Bob Egan, though. Hilarious!
  19. Yep, knew that too. I understand that it'd be odd to promote a record in a live performance without one of the major players. Note to self: avoid making any more half-serious comments on VC in case of corrections and/or clarifications offered by forum members of superior intelligence.
  20. Right, I understand that. Sarcasm detected. He just seems so aloof to me, like he doesn't really want to be there.
