You can PM me. Or you can pull one of the many versions off of Owl & Bear. Or a Google search will turn some results up.

Universal is planning to cut its CD prices, ranging from $6 - $10. http://new.music.yahoo.com/godsmack/news/universal-betting-on-lower-prices-to-boost-cd-sales--62000139

I'd love to hear a UT number or two as well, but know that it's unrealistic to get one's hopes up. I'd doubt that they'd play "Moonshiner" anyway, considering it was a Jay Farrar vocal...

Heard "You and I" overhead at a CVS in Clearwater, FL.

Tonight: "You Never Know" at the Green Turtle in Laurel, MD.

After my first half-dozen or so listens, I refrained from spinning this for several days - but then I caught myself humming several of the tunes, and dove right back in. So my first impression was a tad off - there are some tracks that sink into your brain. I haven't decided if I like it more than BTCD, but I certainly like it more than the first few times I listened to it...looking forward to Go-Go Boots.

Incredible setlist. What a great show for some of you to see!
-
No, there is not. But it will probably reside on the web for quite a while...

I'm through the first five tracks. Here are my thoughts, upon first listen: 1. the sound, in some areas, is polished and sharpened, much more so than before 2. the organ & keyboard are up front in the mix, much more so than before 3. it is indeed much more of a rock record than Brighter Than Creation's Dark 4. to me, nothing has emerged as a standout track, but... 5. ...i haven't heard anything that i don't like yet either. it's solid. i'm sure i'll have different thoughts after hearing the whole thing in one sitting. and after five listens, ten listens, etc...

Well played! Nicely done!

And this just in from Pitchfork - a Ryan Adams-themed pizza place. http://pitchfork.com/news/38128-ryan-adams-the-pizza-place/ And the indie rock delicatessen over at eMusic: http://17dots.com/2010/03/03/welcome-to-the-indie-rock-delicatessen/

My bad. Just taking out my aggression towards some trolls on another site here. I see so many people get lectured here too, myself included. There are a few who do no wrong on VC. I dunno, maybe the 1,000 mark? By the way, is it ironic or what that some of us are duking it out in a thread entitled "Let's Fight?"

Nobody's perfect. We all say dumb things, myself included. I guess when you reach a certain number of posts you're allowed to be patronizing and nobody calls you out on it.

Indeed. I was up a little too early for my sense of humor to have activated for the day.

Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit 8/14/09
choo-choo-charlie replied to Rusty Shackleford's topic in After The Show
I love me some Isbell, but he's not looking too good in this shot. -
I align myself with this statement 100%

Tweedy might have presented the tunes he assembled in ProTools to the group, but they still recorded stuff in the studio as a live group.
-
I think I've got a live version from 2006, but it's not very good. I can't remember the concert, but this and several other SBS songs were all played for the first time. I love hunting down rare stuff too, my friend, but I can't help but notice that the majority of your posts have just been asking people for music. Just remember to pay it forward.

*I would make the album swell up and add "The Thanks I Get," "Let's Not Get Carried Away" and "Glad It's Over" from the Heroes soundtrack, which I believe has the same overall production vibe and soulful feel of SBS.
-
I am an avid supporter of SBS. Loved it the first time I heard it, and have grown more fond of it over time. Love it on vinyl, love it in the car, love it outdoors. Not the best, but I have no issue with it.

They're streaming two songs off their website. I haven't heard about a full album stream.

Is there a better Wilco song to have a sandwich named after it than "Side with the Seeds?"
-
Oh. I guess I just failed to see the humor in it, or make the connection with the images and language in the original post. Enjoy, Battlestar Galactica fans!

I still don't understand what this has to do with Wilco or why it's being mentioned here...
