I've seen Ben Folds solo 2x. But I've always wanted to hear the band. This is splendid news. I've always wanted to be at Robert Sledge's party in "Not the Same."

Feeling bluegrassy with The Giving Tree Band.

The KC gig really embarrassed me as a native Kansas Citian, and I'm really disappointed in the Uptown for doing that, particularly because on the whole, it's a great venue. I saw my first Wilco show there, and they book tons of great acts there. I wouldn't be surprised if Wilco never books a show there again. There are few places in KC that are the "right" spot for them, and I don't want this incident to cause them to skip the town on their next Midwestern tour.

The Uptown Theatre in Kansas City did the exact same thing -- the pre-show early entry move. The band caught wind of it and Jeff chastised the venue/management from the stage. Great setlist!

That has to be one of the worst reviews I've ever read.

They promoted this on Facebook too. It said if you're already on the list, to sign up anyway and it won't duplicate, but you'll still get the download code. My email never came.

I haven't moved beyond Band on the Run yet.
