  1. So have I, but I don't have those two previously unavailable tracks that will force me, the consumer, to fork over thirty dollars.
  2. I can wait a couple years, so long as we actually get that - and , of course, another studio album in between.
  3. If Milton Bradley was injured he'd be in mid-season form. 2 in a row!
  4. Johnny Carson accidently referred to him as Pess Farker once and got a huge laugh.
  5. I bought Ryan Adams' 29 album the year it came out during the holiday season. I was in the very long line at Best Buy, and the woman in front of me noticed I had his album in my hand. She told me she knew him and, even more so, his mother (was their neighbor in Raleigh at one point) and that Ryan is fucked up because of her. "That boy is just wild!" I told her perhaps he'll chill as he approaches 40. She said he'll never make it to 40. I hope she's wrong.
  6. At the Baseball Hall of Fame inductions in 2000 Joe Nuxhall stood right in front of me for a minute while he was passing by en route to where the important people go. I didn't recognize him until the folks around me starting pestering him for his autograph, which he gave.
  7. He reminds me of a bigger, more athletic version of Cliff Floyd.
  8. I wasn't necessarily talking about music. The Presley Estate/Graceland was in trouble until Elvis became a merchandising bonanza after he died.
  9. If Wilco put a Wilco Book LP would most of them be cracked?
  10. Teacher could close up class a little early.
  11. Unless he can find a pitching job, John Smoltz will be a broadcaster this year.
  12. To .com!!! The first ever .com was born 25 years ago on March 15, 1985! What do we used to do before the internet? Go outside and exercise and stuff? Man, were we clueless back then!
  13. Top Red Sox prospect to undergo brain surgery tomorrow. Pretty serious situation here.
  14. What's this I'm hearing about MLB considering taxing all Cactus League teams to finance a Spring Training facility for the Chicago Cubs? Since when do the Cubs need welfare?
  15. About as awesome as my Sony alarm clock having a Daylight Savings Time button. Push it once it moves ahead an hour, push it again it moves back an hour. Nifty.
  16. On par with when Chevy Chase briefly (very briefly) hosted his own late night show about 20 years ago. He tried to be a dead-on imitation of Johnny Carson. Painful.
  17. Craig Ferguson has had Betty White as a regular guest (whether she has something to promote or not) since he started hosting his own show. He's a fan and a friend.
  18. I'm supposing there would be cable revenue sharing only by teams who are over a certain threshold in your suggestion. Teams like the Pirates don't have much to share. Perhaps the payroll luxury tax should not be limited to the major league roster, but rather it should include money spent on draft picks being paid over slot and high-priced international signings. This way the Pirates, Royals, et al may be able to draft and sign the best prospects available and not be left empty-handed or with lesser talent after the draft. This is no consequence for teams who can afford it to sign first round
  19. Todd Helton has signed a two year extension with the Rockies through 2013 with deferments beginning in 2014. With his current contract ending in 2011 the Rockies have taken themselves out of the running for landing that year's potential FA first basemen Pujols, Howard, Fielder and Gonzalez.
  20. I read somewhere that the tax credit being offered right now can somehow be applied to a FHA loan , whether it'd be closing costs, etc. I don't remember exactly what it said. I've got it on my home computer, so I'll have to recheck that info.
  21. Is that the 20/80 mortgage? I've read they're harder to get now, but not impossible.
  22. Thanks. I bank with Wells Fargo (by default - they bought out Wachovia/First Union when Wachovis's stock dropped to $5 in the banking crisis last couple of years). I'm not looking for the American Dream, pretty much focusing on a townhome. They sell for around 70K in my town and I don't want to have a high payment because I live alone and can't share the bills. My debt is finally getting low enough where I'll have significant flexibilty where I feel a lender would be comfortable dealing with me. I have good credit and an incredidbly stable work history with good job security, so I'm hoping tha
